That weld for the tank looks like a continuous electrical weld done with roller instead of a spot. The seams when we weld the steel coils together on the plating lines at work look similar and that weld is done with copper rollers and a bunch of current. Watch it because if it is the steel right on the weld will be much harder. 🙋♂😊
@805ROADKINGКүн бұрын
Thanks for the info Matt!! Never came across anything like that before!! All I know is it warp the hell outta that hood!!☻
@MatthewBerginGarageКүн бұрын
@@805ROADKING Probably took a good chunk of current to guarantee a fuel tight seal, would have heated the seam up quite a lot.

Don't paint it too nice, that will make it look like it isn't an antique tractor. Perhaps a modern reproduction, probly from China.

I've had mine for about 3 years and about 1800 hours. I regularly run it at around 50% load for 10 hours at a time. When it was delivered, I literally watched the driver roll it up 6 stairs to my porch. I opened it up and resecured the battery and, up until recently, it he's been trouble free. For some reason the remote start stopped working. I did a little reading and finally pulled out the control panel. I searched high and low for a bad connection and finally gave up and reassembled everything. When I was done, just fo fun, I pushed the start/stop button and it fired right up. It has been completely reliable ever since. As was mentioned, it doesn't handle a large inrush and if you need to run an AC unit you might look into a soft start setup. Inverter type generators use RPM to adjust output and need to ramp up. Open frame generators run at full speed and control output voltage with RPM. Don't judge this little unit on minor glitches

If a person watches these videos and pays attention they will learn something. Bodywork is an exact work. Spending hours taking apart and repairing and putting it all back together. A person wanting to learn this trade if they apply themselves can make great money. But be prepared to spend hours working. Road King is a retired Master at his trade he has not forgotten very much and is so willing to share.
