Hello all I seem to have fixed the issue of the black screen. It is probably from a faulty tape. I took my cassette out and found the tape too loose so I tightened it up and reinserted the tape and it worked. Is either from that or shining a bright flashlight into the lens

I think I find the solution to the gray cam problem, it is the lens they won't open, I changed mine and it works again.

I'm looking for the power adapter that goes from the wall to the battery port on the camcorder. Not sure why it is so hard to find. Need to convert a ton of MiniDV tapes to file.

You can in vcr Mode yes but it's gotta be on the tape You can also hook it up to a tv to playback or record

I have a JVC GR-AXM100 from 1998! I have a cassette tape which I like watch inside but I'm unable to and the camcorder won't open. When I push the eject, I hear something turning but the camera turns off immediately. I have it plugged in. Any ideas?

Get a charger and power it direct from that. Beta players aren't rare and usually the biggest problem comes from so many of them being belt driven. Using one of these is like stepping back in time and depending on the condition can deliver pretty darn good image quality.

Personally I use a universal charger for charging the different batteries for the different cameras

Its probably a sticky connector. You may want to find a replacement zoom button or know someone that knows how to clean them
