Problem with these separated Twins stories is that the method of separating them is always f'd up.

That show was and still is one of the greatest shows on television. The reason the show Friends was created.

Carl, I think in this episode was more scared for Laura. And that is how he showed his disappointment in Laura. Being a cop for over twenty years, Carl has definitely seen his share of young girls getting kidnapped, assaulted, raped, and even murdered. And it all starts when a girl starts to dress in a provacative and sexy way. That's where it stems from. And that is why Carl actually warns her. This time Laura got lucky she wasn't assaulted, kidnapped, raped, murdered, etc..But next time, she might not be so lucky.

Laura really won't understand the worry of her parents of her not coming home on time until she actually becomes a parent someday. Harriet and Carl know that Laura isn't the type of person to cause any trouble on the streets or to get into trouble with the cops. She's a straight A student, a cheerleader, president of her student class, was nominated for homecoming queen and ""WON", held down a part time job at her aunt Rachel's restaurant , always acted responsibly most of the time etc.. I am sure every parent would want a kid like Laura. Who wouldn't? But that's besides the point. A lot of bad things can happen out there in the world to a girl Laura's age. She can get kidnapped, raped, assaulted, or even worse murdered by someone. There are alot of crazy and creepy people out there in the world, who WILL take advantage of young girls like Laura. Harriet here is trying to protect her daughter from all that danger. Any good parent would.

You know smart people do dumb stupid things from time to time. But there are laws, rules and regulations even Laura have to respect, follow & obey, no matter how much we dislike them.

As a registered nurse, this scene is a haunting reminder of what can happen if I too don’t practice good judgement. The possibility of having another human beings blood on my hands and the life long guilt and remorse that comes with it used to keep me awake at night! It only takes a single lapse in judgment for someone to die, be it by improper exercise of lethal force, or in my case, a medical error. You have to live with the decision you make, so make sure that those decisions are calculated to the thoroughest magnitude possible!

This is what we are missing from sitcoms today. That natural audience reaction made this scene. I don't even know these characters and the audience got me invested.

Don't blame Toni Procopio. Blame her parents and the environment she was raised in. If children really are the future, God help us all.
