Because Myles is a child that's why. He's not a teenager. He was only 10 years old. The parent feels by him being that age, he doesn't know any better, so they gave a benefit of the doubt. If he would've been Moesha age doing it at 17 trust and believe it would've been a huge problem in the Mitchell's household. By him being a teenaged boy, they probably would've seen him away if he's out of control. Myles punishment would've been a little harsher than Moesha's. That's just my opinion

In my opinion that was a parent and child moment that sister had no right to be in that room then she said about using that belt it seems she tries to make the situation worse and about her the parents should have told her to get out and they’ll handle it she is not that child’s parent
