The penalties idea is just stupid. It shifts the necessity of leaving to throwing. Catch me if you can basically. Blizzard could say they are banning a person over throwing a match, but a person can rebuttal and say they are just having difficulties playing. IT JUST DOESNT WORK so everyone can make their unique plays they cant be coordinating and positioning properly they need to scatter accross the map and when they do that what happens they are out in the open and widow can do watch she was designed to do punish ppls bad positioning whereas in the past she could only do that if u werent working with ur team and punishing together as 1 unite and or ur flankers and off tanks failed to deal with her increasing the team work aspect of the game shielders cant do that so its up to flankers and off tanks and if they do that now they leave the objective and solve 1 problem and create a dozen it just doesnt work, widowmakers in the past could only do what they do IF you team was not doing what they need to do OR its your positioning sucks. because team effort was the used to be the main thing it doesnt fucking matter if u have a torb or a sym or a mccree ( yes mccree there is only one mccree that i know and thats the overwatch hero not that country bumpkin motherfucker who happens to be a pig and have the same name) it doesnt matter who was behind the reinhard or sigma or whatever shielder because widow could not just one shot them if they worked together thus tank heroes felt and played like tank heroes frontliners without them teamfights wouldnt be a thing which is why alot ppl didnt shield back then they thought it was boring actual GODS at that role BECAUSE they didnt have to play counterswap simulator majority of fights happened on point where you after proper coordination and positioning could get closer to widow even without focusing her and now a torb or whoever can also deal with her .. if u in the past had a zarya and im a dva i could still make it work ofc some were stronger against others but it was not as game breaking and if im a better dva than u are a zarya u will not counter me. thats why ppl lilke shadowburn or dafran could in some moments in the match remove the i in team and go ham because they were gods at a role and understand the game but in this free for all bullshit were blizzard wants everyone to make their plays guess what they need to be in the open for that and not coordinating with their tank heroes and if they do that heroes like widow will punish them its what they were made for, for ppl with lack of game sense and positioning thinking their aim is all that matters to get punished for not coordinating but now everyone is in the open and dont wanna get one shotted its ridiculous and after almost a decade ofc widowmaker players are good to where its beyong annoying.. if u had a main shield tank and a off tank the main shielder can make sure the healers and dps heroes can go in safely and fight on the objetive instead of dying coming off spawn far away from the point whilst off tanks like dva and winston or flankers like genji and tracer could go and deal with heroes like widow and hanzo in the backline and thats why fights used to last soo long and feel meaningful because everyone was on point and everyone had the tools to distract and or deal with the opposition if the off tanks or flankers failed now the widow can go back to punishing ppl it was a back and forth between ppl that are damn good at what they do now its a stupid counterswap fest and no one can main anything and excell at nothing because of it allowing aim to be the main thing going from the third least important aspect to the main thing of the game and thats why 5v5 is a absolute piece of shit joke and 6v6 was better for overwatch specifically anyways because overwatch was all about team effort if ppl like dafran or shadowburn or pine were ow 2 players only and ow 1 was never a thing their aim would still be godlike ofc but they wouldnt excells at specific heroes and build TLDR: You need to assess risk on the fly - sometimes elims are more important, other times staying alive is more important. Too many of these guide videos fail to mention that elims are not always important. Let's say you're on defense on any payload map at the start of a game - you see a low HP target retreat back into their team and you have the opportunity to finish them off, but you're half hp and you know that dashing in or peaking out to finish off the target will put you in danger (but not guarantee your death) - do you risk your life to get the elim? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Why? Because your spawn is MUCH further away - your life in this instance is MUCH more valuable than their death. If you're on Eichenwald and no one dies for 3 minutes straight, then defense is winning, because the whole point is to stall and run the clock. Once the timer runs out and they finally make a big push and put it in OT, THEN your objective is to eliminate them at all costs (or push them off the objective to let the timer run out), even at risk of your own death, provided everyone else is still alive - you have to judge on the fly whether trading kills is going to benefit you in winning the game or not (for instance, if 4 of them are alive and there's only 2 of you and the other 3 on your team died a while ago, then you want to contest to stop them from capping as much as possible to give your team time to get there, WHILE staying alive as much as possible, WHILE also pressuring the remaining enemy team so they don't get too comfortable just sitting there). If they do cap, their spawn will move up closer, it will take a while for the payload to start moving, and the new "choke" your team will need to defend will move back (from your perspective) a bit, all of that means your death will not set you back that far, but stopping their cap will be of huge value, so you can risk your life if you can see a way for you to stop them from capping. If they do kill you and cap, you'll be back in the position you need to be in before the payload reaches the choke you need to defend.

Personally I've made (or making) the switch to left hand mouse as I am a lefty but I'm basically ambidextrous other than the fact that I can't write with right hand and playing games with left felt weird movement wise (the mouse actually feels significantly better in my left hand). Edit: I should add that there are certain fps games I play ambidextrously (will switch mid game/match cus it's fun to) and certain games do just feel better left handed for me (osu is a good example). and I'm happy I'm not the only person who likes spacebar as primary fire lmao

Who dont miss 6 vs 6?, having 2 tanks in the team, one off tank and one main tank, having wombo combos and more options to play? 5 vs 5 is dog shit, Overwatch should never have changed the format to 5 vs 5 it's crap, 6 vs 6 feels more balanced in team fights, in 5 vs 5 if the tank dies and it sucks good luck trying to win the match, all the pressure rely on the only one tank you have and with this 5 vs 5 format, the tank needs to be focused on many things on the field and many players cant handle this pressure.....only the PRO players and high elo streamers can deal with this, but 5 vs 5 format its chaotic for most of the players , In 6 vs 6 at least if one of the tanks is good and decent you still could save the match, in 6 vs 6 the main tank is in charge of engagements, making space for teammates and to protect, the off tank could be in charge of protecting the supports and engagements too and bring support to the main tank, we could have a very interesting synergy between 2 tanks in the team, but NO 5 vs 5 format its zzzzzzz with just one tank its frustrating... Thats my main frustration with Overwatch 2 and this 5 vs 5 format.

I personally think that tanks are currently too important and too far separate from the other roles. Tanks need to be somewhat less vital in order to be more bearable to play.

For me the balance issues are players skills. I have been in so many high gold and low plat games where the DPS on my team are playing like silver or bronze and the enemy are playing like diamond.

The best thing to do is focus on your own gameplay and mistakes. Once I truly learned this and implemented it, i went from your average silver sh*tter who blamed his team for every loss to a top 0.1% player. I'll never forget that advice. Staying calm is also just as important.
