I agree on the Thursday murder club. I have tried to read it twice already and put it down and I think I will give it one more go next year and then ill be done if it doesn't grab me. I was about to say Daisy Jones was one I loved as an audiobook! I haven't liked any of Alice Osemans novels, even though I love the heart stopper series! Everyone talks about how amazing she is, but I just can't get on with her novels.

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨The way you felt about the boy drowning was how I felt about Verity by CoHo. Even though the attempted infanticide didn't actually happen, I was sobbing reading it and can't face another CoHo.

I didn't read too many good ones this year ☹️ it was a lot of disappointing ones for me. I think my most disappointing was As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson 😅 I DNF it around halfway through, I hated it. I really loved Daisy Jones & the Six though personally but I can see that it's not for everyone. Evelyn Hugo was a disappointing one for me, opposite to you 😂

I read The Lamplighters by Emma Stonex and honestly I’d rather have root canal surgery than read it again it was truly dull😢 I’m now reading The Ink Black Heart by Robert Galbraith which I’m really enjoying
