Yourr diaggnosis is way off. the problem here is that she wasnt aa great salesperson. Sh bought the products using her husbands money. SHe embzzeled it. SHe embezzled money for her first house too, which her dad worked off to save her prom prosecution. She caused her home to go into foreclosure by not paying the mortgage, instead, she bought product to make her appear successful. She was not. SHe was having an affair while on thhoes 'business; trrips. Thhe baaby was a result of that affair . THhis maan would have been her next victim since she was about to get caught hhavaing misused Chris's money. She waaas extremely neglectful to her girls. Chris was the one who gave them love and attention, and food. TTHey were locked down for HOURS every day, not allowed to see each other, play, use the bathroom or eat. Her parents moved in with them to protect her as they did when she embezzelled from the other guy. She was forced to eat those thrive things , one on each arm. Hee didn't eataa or sleep for many hours, then he had NK bewitching him. SHe was into some kind of satanic rituals. She and Jim were 'buddies' in that and brought Chris into it. He was having an affair, but so was shannon. SHe even changed her name so as not to be found by the ones she emzzeledd from. NA was her moms friends who was asked to make sure Chris didn't get the mail whhilee SW was out of town so that CHris couldn't find out about the foreclosure and HOA law suit. She was rejected by here lover because he was married and had two kids at home. Said he was not going to leave his family for her. THis is why she was not feeling well at the last trip. She planned to leave Chris and the girls but that plan faialedd during that trip. ALl of this is based on stories Ive read and fair use is in use here. I believe Chris was a walking cocktail of codependency, obsession, and lack of identity. His mother was likely controlling and punishing him while he was an introverted child and he grew up being submissive toward controlling women. This may have developed a level of subconscious anger and longing for approval. He was devoted to Shannan because she showed interest in him but later became personal disconnected from her and the child. Shannan may have unknowingly relapsed his toxic sense of boyhood and hatred. Combined with his obsession with a new woman as well as pressure from his family, Chris believed he can reset his life by killing his family, thus not feeling trapped anymore.

During the pre-confession interview of Chris, it was revealed that Shannan went online at 02:30am to order hair care products, and her credit card was denied. Since she probably had a co-pay due at her appointment, and perhaps a payment to the Primrose Pre-School the next morning, it seems likely that she either confronted Chris, or perhaps he challenged her about finances. This may have opened up the subject of his spending on his mistress. In this case, it may have been a rageful episode, rather than a devious scheme as is generally believed.

One detail that struck me was the house was pristine apart from the office … I think the lazy dog meal was the reason she got home , tired and feeling unwell and fuming over a $60 meal and the office looked ransacked but they were arguing over the actual paperwork .. maybe Chris found one piece of mail and hunted for more only to discover they were about to face financial ruin and homelessness .. and the house was in his name not hers … I wonder if the office was where the argument started ..

At times watching CW did not want to be on camera .. you have one in the marriage who’s extremely happy to be on camera daily and one who does not want a thing to do with the camera .. Watching the Santa video was uncomfortable how CW was numb .. not at all being comfortable playing Santa to his kids, but at the same time the kids were not feeling it .. Finally!!! Someone focusing on the narcissistic wife who livestreamed just about every single aspect of their lives for the world to see. Shanann berated her husband on multiple video's and used him as a prop! She never considered his feelings about the whole livestream thing as it was obvious he wasn't pleased to participate in many of the videos.

There are so many things that are left out when documentaries are made, especially in cases like this. Ive watched every video made about this case and i saw this in Shanann right off the bat. I could see that Chris had been broken down by his wife. He looked uncomfortable in his own home as if he was about to get in trouble like a child. It was obvious that she spoke to him in a negative tone when the cameras werent rolling. I noticed the tone of her voice in a few different videos that was a red flag. Chris was very wrong for doing what he did, but a person can only take so much before they snap. I believe that he suffered 8 years of financial, emotional,mental,and psychological abuse that finally ended in the murder of his wife and children. He snapped and killed his wife then panicked and killed his children. I might catch a lot of flack for saying this but I can totally understand why he was having an affair. Divorcing her would have been a complete nightmare because of the type of person she was. She would have drug him through the mud. after dragging him for the last eight years through the mud. She would have tried to keep him from seeing the kids although he was a great father. She would have been the type that used the children to hang over his head even when it had nothing to do with him being a father. Financial abuse is against the law. Chris was such a docile person that he let her run all over him. After years of this silent abuse, he snapped. He handled himself in the worst way but people need to look at the whole picture. Many men are in controlling relationships with assertive or "bossy" wives, yet they don't murder their families. By most accounts Shannan was bossy, even controlling but very assertive, labelling her as a narcissist goes too far. A mentally unstable narcissist doesn't beg their spouse to attend therapy, read self-help books, and genuinely try to improve the relationship. Narcissists simply don’t behave that way. Shannan was who she was before they married; Were his children also "bossy narcissists"? Of course not. You're in no position to diagnose her when you've never had the chance to sit down with her personally. If you're looking to lay blame, perhaps you should also consider Chris's upbringing. He was raised and more heavily influenced by his controlling mother than by his wife. But would it be fair to place the blame on his mother? Was Chris a quiet man who was pushed too far and controlled too much? Possibly. However, it was his affair that altered his behaviour. His mistress knew all about his wife, his children, and his wife’s pregnancy-and she knew that Shannan was unaware of the "separation." Chris changed, not Shannan. The changes we saw in Shannan were those of a wife willing to try therapy, to look within herself-things a narcissist would never do. She was blindsided, and Chris admitted to this. Chris Watts was, by all appearances, a normal person in a functioning society who ultimately annihilated his family. Are we really to believe that this tragedy happened simply because his wife was "bossy"?
