Just found your channel and subscribed. Not enough soulful guitar on youtube. NGL, however, this one in particular was frustrating. Lack of tab is no problem, but you never really taught the riff. You said at one point you'd slow it down but never did. I slowed down the video until you sounded like you were on quaaludes and kind of got it. Anyway, please take the foregoing as constructive criticism!

I’m 67 and just got a Harley Benton rosewood telecaster for Xmas. I’m returning to guitar playing after a 50 year hiatus, although I’ve been plucking a ukulele for the last couple of years! When I gave up all those years ago it was because I realised I wasn’t going to be able to replicate Steve Lukather, Jeff Beck or Van Halen. Having watched a few of your videos I now realise that I always wanted to be a soulful player. I’ve subscribed and will be enrolling in your course. Thank you from across the pond for everything you do!

I was wondering how u switch from the B and A chord because i cant get my ring finger to barre like you do
@SoulfulGuitarLessons
@SoulfulGuitarLessons 5 күн бұрын
Good question. This used to be a big problem for me too! You’re not alone. The way I think about it and practice it is bending the ring finger knuckle to the point where it looks like the letter “U”. Get the joint used to bending that way. Go slow. Over time (few weeks) you should have strength enough to make this movement. Please keep me in the loop to let me know how your progress is going

@SoulfulGuitarLessons
@SoulfulGuitarLessons 12 күн бұрын
Hey good observation so ya I have a floating bridge and I use my palm to press against it to give that tremolo effect. Basically you set up the bridge as if you want to use a whammy barr (floating) and then can achieve this effect

Glad this is helpful! So I can do a video of this in different keys. However, you can also do it in different keys using this easy hack. Move all the shapes up 1 fret and now you have F minor pentatonic scales. Move it up another 1 fret and you have F#. Keep repeating this and boom. You will do it in every key! Hope this is helpful
