Bill Withers - lean on me is litterally just this scale. I’m gonna use it to remember and practice

That's a great way to put this scale to use. Nice!

This is a great video because like you said, it puts a name and structure around things we’ve been listening to and heard all of our live. “We’ve come this far by faith” reminds me of this!

The song that really uses this scale is Tyrone Davis' Can I Change My Mind? It's really apparant on Roy Buchanan's version.

Looks like you threw an F Major in there with the 10s on the D, G, and B strings. But the rest is alternating between the C Major and D Minor chords.

Thank you for this wonderful content (I can't count how often I say this). It reminds me of these songs: Allman Brothers Blue Sky. Steve Cropper partially uses this scale in Soul Man. It's also found in part in Clean Up Woman (which is the reverse of the Soul Man lick, but so funky with its clave beat). I see this scale as a C-F6 triad pair run (with some F triads). The 6th chords make it out very melodic. Triad pairs are amazingly powerful and easy to play. Check out Louis Shelton using a F-G triad pair run for his solo for Daydream Believer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX2Zh5ykYppkbposi=OJYSyuqJRWqBTIrd Personally, I like to use a D-E triad run for the ascending lick in Memphis Soul Stew to return back up from famous sliding sixth downward run.
