Great video! I picked up an NC as well, despite the online furore. I’ve build a little board with some regular pedals and it’s a backup rig for when the tubes amps have to stay home. I’m adding a Diso+ at the end of the chain, so I can run wet FX after the Nano and then XLR to FOH. Good call on the MIDI switcher and using that for EXP out - was pondering doing that with my MC3. Small point of feedback (no pun intended): you might mute your vocal mic when you’re playing (some of the guitar guys who KZbin use mute switch or Exp pedal I think)?

YES. If you notice, when I play the blue guitar I muted the room mic. But I forgot to when I played the gold top 😭😭still came through ok though

@@JAFOpty midi works fine ! I used it with a small midi switch over TRS and its flawless switching between presets. The cortex over a real cab sounds great too!

Those are honestly so good for travel if that’s what you need. I just bought a guitar off of Facebook and met up at a highway rest stop and used my spark amp to test the guitar!

@@jimmyfranklin Yeah just playing at the lake or in the forest sounds sickkkk, i have the first generation spark, but one that can travel a bit better and be battery powered seems super nice. Which one did you get?

Don't mistake build quality 'vibe' for build quality... Same for people that think that two units, running the exact same software, can sound different. Guitarists really listen with their eyes and are blind for it.
@jimmyfranklin
@jimmyfranklin 3 ай бұрын
Ok so. I should be more clear. The built quality is the same. It has the exact same materials. BUT as far as the software goes, when you open this, it brings you right to the captures stored in it, not amp models. The quad cortex mostly defaults to amp models so the clear difference would be that the amp captures can be better than the models some times

God that p90 sound was sick, coming from a metal dood too. Let me know if the midi to quarter in jack converter works with it. I couldn't even get a USB to midi convert to work with the kemper player so I had to send it back

DId you have problems with the footswitches? They didn´t work ok because you press them too soft with your fingers, or have you experienced something like that pressing them with the foot?

Do not spend money on the latest gadget that'll be obsolete in a few years. Get an American Tele and a little Tube amp, learn how to solder a capacitor (you can learn this in 5 minutes) - and be happy and sustainable for life, never buy again and let all the modellers and midi spaceship looking guitars chase your tone with $3000 gadgets and monthly software subscribers, as you are there happy 50 years later with your $2000 purchase that is now worth $100,000, as they were stressed clicking software furiously, draling woth software bugs, bad WiFi, forgetting their passwords, you were there happy, just playing away.

I respect the opinion, but this goes against "buy what makes you want to pick up your guitar and play," which has seen many people like myself sticking with it for years. Also those Japanese hybrid II teles are 🤌
@ushnicyuvnikof2748
@ushnicyuvnikof2748 3 ай бұрын
@goldfishpartyy Belly carved teles can actually neck dive slightly, and the one with the bucker in the neck is pure sketchy. The noir has a painted headstock which will get scratched by the ends of strings when changing them or chipped when dinged. For around 1k I'd go for a 2nd hand American Tele from a reputable dealer, 2000 - mid 2000's, are good years for a Tele in that price range, get a 2000's American Series and buy a bridge conversion kit to 3 saddle it and that's definitely a guitar for life rite there.

I’m stuck between Nano and the Tonex One. I’ve owned a Tonex One and the whole midi cheif thing is a pain in the ass lol! Or the little exposed cable work around ppl are doing with a screen. The nano with the midi captain seems simpler to configure and get to playing.

Screw having to use your phone to help with the tuning. Now watching him jam, it doesn't sound that great. I've got a joyo chopperz hooked up with the zoom ms.70+ that sounds monstrous together through a SD powerstage 200 then through the carvin legacy cab. I was almost interested, but nah. Also, after owning that piece of garbage tonexone, I don't trust any of these guys selling this garbage anymore.

Very articulate! I think you haven’t been in a situation where you could use this yet and it will come to you soon enough. Personally, I have my midi board ready to run this as a small fly rig and I can use it as an interface for home and hotel ideas and when I go to the studio in February, I can capture all the tones from the amps and put them in my back pack
