Funny thing is I was looking at getting a new guitar a year ago. I had been away from playing for the last 4 years due to nerve issue in my neck effecting my left arm. I got that taken care of so I thought I'd get a new guitar since I had sold all I had with the thought of never playing again. So I narrowed my choice down to the Charvel you are showing or an ESP LTD EC1001 Tiger Burst. Let's just say I made the wrong choice. I had a Charvel about 10 years ago and loved it so much. I've been looking at Charvel guitars again hoping to get one but can't at this time.

Wait, so you said it has a dark characteristic? You mean like sounding? I don’t agree at all. Actually, I think it’s extremely bright, sounding guitar, and honestly kind of thin. Maybe I got a bad example of one, but mine just sounds really thin, and I think my Gibson les Paul sounds way better
@jimmyfranklinАй бұрын
Mine is a great dark tone on the bridge. That being said, I think thin and dark can coexist. I definitely have les Paul’s that are thicker sounding and bright. But not too thin and brittle.

Okay, I'm one of those who wants that axe in the giveaway. Thanks for explaining that problem you have. I'm no doctor, but I suspect that the neck/hand mismatch was causing or irritating some RSI -- something every guitarist -- every INSTRUMENT PLAYER -- risks. Anyway, now I don't have to feel bad about your giving it up.

I had one for a while but sold it. Fantastic guitar with great sounds but just couldn't get used to the neck.. I like to play different guitars but the DK24 was just too different from the rest making it hard to switch to another.

We all diffrent😊i just love that neck and never give me any pain.Have a great day
@ScotsSens3 ай бұрын
That's a shame that the neck bothers your hand so much. I've owned about 14 guitars around the $800 - $1600 price range. I got a PRO-MOD SO-CAL STYLE 2 close to two years ago, it's my first Charvel and I LOVE the neck so much I've been seriously considering buying another Charvel even though I definitely don't need another guitar. With that being said I'm sure most of us would like that guitar in your give away. Keep up the good work man.

There are really beautiful guitars of Charvel, but this is my favorite. I would love to own one, I just have a problem with the floyd rose. I love playing with a tremolo, but I'm afraid of changing strings because I think it's pretty difficult to change the strings on a FR guitar. But if I would own one, I would learn it for sure.
@Luke_Lumberjack_Music2 ай бұрын
Hey Mate, I own that exact guitar and it's my first with a Floyd Rose. Changing Strings isn't hard at all, although of course it's a bit more complicated than with a guitar, that has no tremolo and locking tuners. But nothing that should worry you - there are plenty of short and straight to the point videos, showing you how to change strings on such a guitar and what to look out for. If you did it a few times it's becoming natural and like with everything else, you'll develop a feeling for it 🙂 I have this guitar for half a year now and I am very happy with it. It feels great, it plays great, it stays in tune extremely well (no guitar is perfect in that regard), the tremolo works. If I do a divebomb and the guitar is properly Set Up it returns to the original pitch. Maybe a few cent below, but nothing that I could determine by ear. I only notice it when I use a tuner. In short - this guitar is awesome, I would definately recommend it. The only thing I would change is the color actually 😅 but this was the only one of that series with a FR

Do not like those pickups at all, so bright . Another issue I had was high action that cannot be lowered to my liking. Regardless those are fantastic guitars for the neck. Literally I disagreed with everything you said in the video… lol
