Considering the location is apparently a cemetery, it makes me wonder if those masks the warriors wear are the actual skulls of the individuals buried there, and if those holes they flee into are cleared out grave sites that’s they’ve turned into tunnels.

The train in the movie is a nyc stream lined 4-6-4 Hudson which is long gone locomotive which pulled trains like the empire state limited and the 20th century limited these locomotives run from 1927-1957 sadly all of them were scrapped

I have a possible theory why that guy screamed louder after Indie broke his skull mask. Because wearing the mask is mandatory for his cult. If you remove it, they’ll kill you. So, maybe he was screaming because he’s thinking, “You’ve killed me!” So, he tried to kill Indie and Mutt because he knew he was going to be executed by his cult, anyway.
