I remember in the video at times he mutes the other strings using his left hand index finger and uses the middle finger to fret the notes. The flickering technique is really hard when you start with your index finger(which is normal to Abraham but not to others) but you can try starting with your pinky which is more doable.

Are you the same person that plays the keyboard on this channel? Then you’re so talented. Abraham Laboriel is my favorite bass player and you did an awesome job demonstrating his technique. I also had his video new bass concepts many years ago. I love your channel. Greetings from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬

I know you're showing Abraham's techniques but it is noticeable you have developed your own and your level of playing is so high compared to a lot of bass players. I like the way you explain all these things. Believe me if you were to start a business as a teacher like those platforms Scottbasslessons an such, I'd be one of your first students. There is a need of christian musicians who can teach the next generation. Those who have been called apart to serve and are not contaminated with the world works. Perhaps this is just an idea, or perhaps a spark that would ignite a good project that will be for the kingdom. Just an idea, just an idea...

Yeah absolutely they’re rare now. I’ll never understand why Yamaha stopped making them in the mid 90s. They did come out with a TRB-5P ii but I never thought it was quite as good as the early 90s ones. Thanks for watching 🙏👍

@@HosannaSounds Ya, I have the 5P-ii, certainly no slouch of a bass, just can’t quite find those tones I hear the 5P make. Looking forward to more of your videos!

Great work !! 👍 I'm 31 years old, and was born in the 90's in a french west indies country named Guadeloupe. My parents use to listen to this absolutly beautiful praise and worship tapes, and now i'm still listenning to this (there are my favorites albums : especially the oldest in the 80's, 90's with Kent Henry, Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, etc.). Theses songs really give God glory, and you feel it in the way they were played. It was less about fashion or money or sales as we see more nowadays unfortunately. I can feel that they had take time to seek the Lord and making things well. Glory to God for this material !

How do you make your bass sound that good? It is noticeable you hava a clean technique, my question is about your gear. Thank you for the tutorial
@HosannaSounds2 ай бұрын
The tone itself comes from the bass and its electronics. Pickups set very slightly towards the neck (P) pickup with some piezo blended from the bridge. EQ completely flat. A little bit of compression added and a tiny bit of reverb just for this video.

I know nothing about kontakt. I am considering purchasing it. Could you make a video showing how to stack sounds in kontakt in this way, please? Also, could you show where to get those virtual instruments, please? Thank you
@HosannaSounds2 ай бұрын
Hi if you purchase Kontakt then it's very easy to stack instruments. With the pack I have produced I have created what are called 'Multi's' which are files that already stack the various instruments for you with the volumes pre-set to get the balances right. I'm no expert on Kontakt but I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of videos on youtube explaining how it works. 👍

@@HosannaSounds sorry for the late reply. i expected an email notification if you replied. I see, I think I can learn. How much did you spend on the VSTs to make the 'Praise Looks Good On You' electric piano sound stack? Thank you for replying.

@@icy-pingu Well i actually bought the original 80's/90's instruments and sampled them directly to make my own Kontakt instruments to use within the Kontakt VST

@@HosannaSounds That sounds like it would take forever for me to learn to do and then to do it well. I can't find any TX802 Kontakt vst. Do you sell the Kontakt VSTs seen in the video?
