I recently applies for some tickets and I was suprised to actually get them given that I only signed on as a red member a few weeks back (only supported arsenal for about a year), I got the Bolton and Southampton games specifically. while i'm super happy I got them I feel very bad that there are people who supported arsenal way longer than me, possibly their entire lives and can't even get a single game. I think definetly some kind of loyalty scheme is needed so lifelong fans can go and see the team they love. this would be much fairer. and someone like me would need to put in the work of applying for ballots and racking up points to then be able to earn a spot.
@TFSS2 күн бұрын
Thank you for saying that, it’s definitely a tricky situation and what you’re saying is true. It should 100% be a loyalty system! Enjoy the games nonetheless 😃

FGR aren’t from Stroud. Stroud is 5 miles away. They’re from the hamlet named Forest Green. This is situated in the town of Nailsworth. They were called Stroud FC for a very very short period in 1989. Other than that they’ve always been known as Forest Green Rovers AFC

I'm convinced that nowadays that all the big UK retailers (Sport Direct etc.) are selling counterfeit. Why do I believe this? In the last 5+ years I have bought a number of jerseys for people, including myself, and noticed the fit is always off, especially around the shoulders, as if there is too much material or too little i.e. it hasn't been measured and put together properly. It's rampant and they can get away with it because the entire industry is unpoliced, there are no quality checks. Same with the online perfume industry, exact same situation. I've tried at least 10 different 'official' perfume sites and purchased my usual brand and it's like water. Smell lasts for 10 mins then it's gone whereas with an original the scent would last all day - across all 10 or so sites I was getting around 20% off so you would think this is still legit but no and it's becoming impossible to aesthetically detect because they're so good at replicating now. But the jersey situation is a travesty because they are selling at full price. Just on Monday I paid for a Borussia Dortmund top for my son (£90) and the fit is a joke, from Sport Direct btw but it's the same from the others I've tried. I can't see anything changing. I'm just not going to buy any tops now.
@TFSS14 күн бұрын
@@EvilestGem that’s an interesting theory, I can’t really see them selling fakes, I just think the overall quality of these real shirts is at a low, they make them for as little as possible and sell for as high as possible.
@EvilestGem14 күн бұрын
@@TFSS Why can't you see them selling fakes? Think about it. It is nearly impossible to tell the difference now. Unless you buy direct from the Club's own website for double the price. If you compare the fit they are completely different so how can that be? How can one, which is supposed to be premium 'replica' be off in terms of shape and fit and yet the Club's own non-replica's fit as they should? It doesn't make sense. You should do a comparison, of the official 'replica' jerseys sold by retail stores (like Sport Direct), with the official kit bought direct from the club. The difference is shocking. Other than the stitching and fit how could you tell? The tags and everything else looks exactly as it should but the shirts themselves are poor.
@EvilestGem14 күн бұрын
But think about it, who governs these businesses? No one. So why wouldn't they do something like this? Of course they would, you think Mike Ashley is a clean cut 'by the book' business man? I very much doubt that. If there was policing on this stuff and strict regulating then yea I couldn't see them doing it but it's completely unchecked so of course, if massive profits are to be made and at the other (consumer) end who's to know? Kid's couldn't tell you the difference and neither would most regular punters. Everything is stacked in favour of doing it.

I get peoples frustration of feeling like new members have the same chance of getting a ticket as a someone who has been a member for years. But acting like new members are just glory hunters is silly. What about mums who want to take their child to his/her first game? or someone who has just turned old enough to be able to afford to buy a ticket? I think gatekeeping can do a lot of damage to the atmosphere at the Emirates if we're not careful
@TFSS21 күн бұрын
That’s a fair point, I think loyalty should be rewarded though - most Carabao cup/ FA Cup games at home are very easy to get tickets for, I think last year one even went on general sale. You should be able to build up ‘credits’ that way and work your way up.
@CodedByJosh21 күн бұрын
@@TFSS Yeah for sure there should be a way build up credit, especially for fans who frequently go to away games. I also think the current set up is a bit rubbish. I came across your video as I want to take my Newphew to his first game and the whole process completely confused the hell out of me lool I just worry that some of the changes people are suggesting may lead to kids like my nephew never getting to go and watch competitive games
