When u had to take the steering shaft off or whatever when u put it back was it ramming into the header still?

It sounds to me like you had leaks and/or air in both systems. I don't think your lines were "ballooning". Maybe it happens at a microscopic level but I think any performance gains from stainless lines are perceived. They are mostly for looks and resilience.

Few things are more satisfying than replacing VG injectors, knowing you'll be running on all cylinders once again. Obviously not the reason here, but it's always my reason

I also had to cut the outer diff busing ring. It was WAY easier to use a sawzall (long blade), although the area is still tight. But yeah, you're right that the Z1 tool only works if you can leverage off of the floor while standing (needs a lift). Another thought I had way too late was to use a torque multiplier. I found one on amazon for about $250, and that might have worked, but i already had the ring out by the time i thought of that. Anyways, the basic wrench & Z1 tool approach is definitely did NOT work in the home garage.

You can use a swivel and a few extensions to get the top bolt on the passenger side motor mount. That's how I did it. Still have to beat the shit out of the heat shields to get them off though, that part took me 2 hours and a lot of hammering.

FWIW - Autozone has this as Duralast part #SU4098. It’s clearly not up to OEM quality, but I tried it and it does work. $70 as of this posting, in case it helps anyone out…

So pretty much don't need the tool if you take a 5lb sledge to the center of the diff bushing and then cut the steel sleeve. save $100 bucks right ?

You should've checked the height change with the car parked in the position and in the same spot that you took the first measurements in.

Thanks for the videos , very nice. Tip for japanese philips screws, they need a japanese style screw driver which most people don't have. But if you give your screw drive a few taps with a hammer on the screw, they pop loose. What also works is using a plier to twist them loose.
