My brother-in-law is in pest control, and it is neat. I can listen to facts about that for days. Those bugs and mice are really diligent about getting in a home. Treatment for them is just as fun it's like solving a mystery. Good luck with your back, man. been there it's a bear.

i like the speedfeed head 400 because it’s lightweight, small and i can get a more prescise cut closer to the ground. so when i need a beautiful grass cut i use speedfeed with twisted silent line on it. i do not hit the head to the ground to release more line, i just do it manually ( i push the head at the same time that i pull the line out, taking care that the head is not spinning ) just to protect the cap from deteriorating . i do like the husqvarna type of head too but only for cutting grass on the streets, concrete, stones, the bumping head its more durable for this kind of job. So i switch them, when i need s beautiful grass cut i use speedfeed, when i need a tougth job i use husqvarna type head.

You should watch a video by RobertElderSoftware" called "How To Become A 37 Year Old Broke Loser" and relate your experience with a struggling software developer who tried to run his own business at the whim of contracts. He has it so bad he can barely afford his own healthcare (dental) in CANADA. Its so bad for him, at 37, he is weighing moving back in with his parents in their basement. Since he is getting evicted. Its impressive how well off you are compared to him.

I commend you. I took the same route. Emt, medic, nurse. Working for others is not what it used to be, the world has gotten too corporate, particularly healthcare. I choose to work for myself.

I've hustled as hard as the next guy, but I gotta tell you you're wrong. If your back is shot, your knees destroyed, your neck jacked three ways from sunday, and you have kids... Dont you want to be around for them? If you kill yourself hustling, then there's no point to it. I pushed myself, hell im still pushing myself, to a point where I don't want to partake of this world anymore. But I realized that my wife, my family, those were the folks that lost in that equation. I've gone from nothing to programming advanced verification of revit 3d modeling using visual scripting. I did that, from nothing. And I'm telling you, you will never hustle enough to make it worth it. Its a sunk cost falacy. The harder you work, the more you gotta work to make sure you make the money that justifies that loss of personal autonomy. Hustle cultures gotta die, and the mentality with it.

By the way, I don't conflate hustling with work ethic. You got work ethic in spades. It ain't about that... Its about your family.

I started my hardscape business 3 years ago. I've mostly been doing EVERYTHING by myself. I've been working 12 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week, 9 months out of the year. It's been quite a struggle and this year I've been feeling really run down and disoriented. But listening to your words has reminded me that I don't have it nearly as bad as other people out there. Thanks for giving me some perspective. I'm gonna be alright and I just gotta keep going and keep a good attitude.

Ive owned a hardscape company for 22 years. Equipment is a money maker all so networking with Land Architects and designers make me money. Hire a good stone mason if you can find one and pay him a well and make sure your venders are giving you the best prices....shop around if you have cash buy common materials in the off season at a discount

I am smart by not buying another Ford. I have had 6 in my life. All pos. They have the most recalls of any brand year after year. My chevy lasted 19 years before a tranny rebuild. 5th gear went out is all. Cuz I tow in 5th. They all have problems though.

Have you ever explained your financial situation? You’re able to live and spend money above what a solo lawn care guy typically would. From what you said I think your termite business is way down or you don’t have it anymore. I’m not for sure if your wife works or not. Did you get some sort of inheritance from your side or from your wife’s side or something like that to give you guys a leg up? For the most part a solo lawn care guy would not make enough profit to consistently spend as much money as you do. I make on average $300,000 a year and my expenses are extremely low. Like maybe $25,000 a year. My wife makes $125,000 a year. It seems like you blow as much on toys in random stuff as I do and I’m not for certain but I’m pretty sure that your household income probably does not match mine. Just curious if you’ve ever mentioned your situation or not before

Dang man you dont ever stop. How would u know what a solo lawn care guy makes? You have no idea. Worrying about if somebody's wife works or if they got an inhertance ! Where does all that come from? "for the most part a solo lawn guy would not make enough profit to consistently spend like you" Dude that just shows how ignorant/uneducated you are when it comes to this game! Stick to the clock man and keep punching that! Also i noticed you make sure to put out what you make per year! like you make more than a solo lawn care guy! (That's just an undercover dig) and prolly a lie Don't never underestimate the earning potential of a highly motivated lawn care guy! $300k is very doable in half the amount of time it takes you to get your $300k! Aren't you the one that always comes in my videos talking about if my wofe works than I'm not running a sucessful business. I can't stand the notion that you talking down to guys in this game. The things and tools that he has is an accumulation of things he has built over the years. You would not know anything about that! And just FYI I have done $300k In a year with junkies out here! Come on man you're so rapped up IN working for the man that you have lost sight of reality.. FYI three hundred k is not a whole heap of money these days....😂

I wasnt gonna respond to this as u troll way to much. I work hard. I pay almost all the bills. If you worked as much as me you could buy stuff too. I am NOT solo! I talk about who helps me all the freakn time bro. Sorry you dont make as much as i do. Keep hustling and take some business classes! They helped me a lot. Again hustle hard and you will have more than you ever thought. Good luck.
