Thank you very much for this wonderful video! I bought a bucket with a spigot but it has no sieve, do you think it will still work? Will the organic matter clog the spigot without a sieve?

Thank you for the knowledge and encouragement. What is the smallest container size for this method? I have tons of protein powder containers lying around. Their volume is around 3000 ml (approximately 50oz). Thank you.

What do we do with the water resulting from compost during the composting process? If we don't have flowers to use that water for, can we pour it down the sink, or does it make the water purification process more difficult?

I have some questions. Does this stink if done improperly? I have a huge roly poly infestation in my property, does this contribute to their ecosystem? Thanks in advance.
@bringnatureinside10 күн бұрын
If you maintain the right moisture in the pile, it should be fine.. i also have slug issues in my garden this year, but the compost seem to be doing ok.

Why did you remove green tomatoes? Do you use them green?
@bringnatureinside10 күн бұрын
Yeaa the last of the tomatoes, i use them as green. Sometimes i keep them to ripen on the windowsill, otherwise i use to make green tomato chutney..

Your garden is looking so pretty. Slugs have decimated my plants as well this year ☹Do you fertilize all your pot plants and if so, how often? Due to all the slugs I've put more things in pots this year to get them off the ground, not sure it has helped though!
@bringnatureinside10 күн бұрын
I fertilize them every two weeks. It also depends on the type of fertilizer you use..

Your garden is beautiful…I started my vegetable garden 2-3 weeks late….it is NOW, end of July and - flourishing with many San Marzano tomatoes, chives, cherry tomatoes, hot chili peppers 🌶️ of many varieties, many herbs: oregano, basil, - just waiting for the vegetables to ripen a bit more. Will keep you posted. THANK YOU for sharing your garden.

WHOA… fabulous tour - enjoyed very much … slugs, I read that egg shells, diatomaceous earth and coffee grounds can help deter the slugs … we have had an unusually DRY summer here on the east coast, New Jersey, USA and a drip irrigation on a small scale is in order for my vegetable garden…next year I will incorporate flowers - like your garden …. THANK YOU … you are a positive inspiration and appreciated.

I want to start my composting like you, but I am wondering if I can just buy some soil to use as I don't want to use the soil that's already in my posts since it has fertilizers in it. Can I buy some soil to start my composting and then add in my green scraps and brown material?
@bringnatureinside17 күн бұрын
Soil of any type can be used as a brown matter, you don’t have to get new soil to start a compost.. you could also use cocopeat as browns in case they are available.

@@bringnatureinside Thank you for this information. One more thing. I have a bucket from home depot that I am going to use and see that people are always putting holes all around, top and bottom of the bucket. How many holes exactly should I put at the bottom of the bucket and around the sides? And the top?
