Great explanation. I did not have a complete understanding on how they worked from previous houses. Our current house was built 5 years ago, and they installed a Wayne Dalton Torque Master system. With a cable fraying and the system already failing, we were given the advice to replace with a torsion spring system. This helps explain what a repair shop would install.
