Hello! How do I change the base note of a musical scale in Moog Labyrinth?

hey Sarah how does the spectravox compare to the other eurorack filterbanks available like the tiptop buchla 296T or the frap tools Fumana?

With no intention of taking the limelight off Sarah's presentation, which was one of the main reasons for me being interested in this, I returned it eventually. The foremost reason is that the sequencer is too random. It's fun at first, but gets boring pretty quickly. I'm not a control freak, but I also find the overuse of randomness in the world of modular synthesis irritating. The other three reasons: I didn't like the wavefolder's sound (and I like wavefolders very much). I didn't like the decay-only envelopes and the fact that they have tiny knobs. I didn't find the filter particularly interesting (but liked the fact that it doesn't self-resonate). I liked the switch that reroutes the signal. I liked the patchbay. I liked the VC crossfader between filter and wavefolder. If I had a large studio space and more money, I'd keep it (and buy the other Moogs, too). But I have neither. :) If Moog made a desktop unit with two Matriarch oscillators, stereo filter and the stereo BBD delay, I'd buy that synth immediately.

i have had basically the same idea this last year somehow using what i use that is pure data and in this case a phone recording of wet leafs and sticks like rubbing it against the very park surfaces like banks or the playground for children...

I'm not sure how to say the name, I'll link his intro and how Exactly to Pronounce Robert Arthur Moog (/moʊɡ/ MOHG; May 23, 1934 - August 21, 2005) was an American engineer and electronic music pioneer. He was the founder of the synthesizer manufacturer Moog Music and the inventor of the first commercial synthesizer, the Moog synthesizer, which debuted in 1964. In 1970, Moog released a more portable model, the Minimoog, described as the most famous and influential synthesizer in history. Among Moog's honors are a Technical Grammy Award, received in 2002, and an induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. This is shared from Wikipedia, not my creation.. just want credit where it is Due. I have heard his name Pronounced about 4 different ways. I'll look up the "Guy" . Soon

I Thank You Soo Very Much for this tutorial. You Break it down and Explain everything at a perfect pace. After seeing Way Too Many Videos about anything semi modular and eurorack. You give it more. I have already had to slow a bunch of videos to .25 speed, where they are now talking monkey and now at least I learned the Street Tourist 3 card 😂. You Are Completely Awesome!! Any way of breaking down the DFAM, Mother-32, Subharmonicon and Labyrinth? And hopefully release an actual original BFAM..That was I think 🤔🧐 at Moogfest 2016~ish. Thank You 😊

such an interesting contemplation at the end. something i already do when producing/composing but some of the aspects you mentioned where very interesting (ie: where exactly does it come from; has something bumped into the sound and made it appear…). thanks for this profound yet simple reflection

It was not to long ago that they released the vetravox. When I seen leaks of the Labyrinth, I immediately bought a subharmonicon because in order to complete my collection, I would first have to own mother 32, dfam, and sub harmonicon. Now that I own all three, I can go after the vetravox and the labyrinth. I wonder what is next? Now I do not have an excuse to not want to pick up a mavis because the labyrinth comes with a wave folder. I wish moog would build more of there 3 tier stands. seems like they used them all up trying to sell the 3 piece set years ago. I am totally enthralled with the sub harmonica right now.

Can you make the Ozesza The Last Goodbye Effect? I have seen them do this on Serum and FilterShaperXL called Wind Down. I have been trying on my explorer and it just does it sound as good as either Odesza on Serum or the one made on the FilterShaperXL both of which you can find with a search.

Morton Subotnick, along with Derbyshire, Ussachevsky,Cage, Stockhausen, Schaeffer, Henry, Milton Babbit, and Alan Splet (David Lynch and Alan Splet's music and sound design for EraserHead is criminally ignored). I've stumbled back into this video a few times now, it's a lovely video. Thank you for making and sharing it. ❤ It is beautiful to also see that piece of history is still getting great use to this day.

Hi Sarah, I have the makenoise 0 Coast and ctrl, Would the labyrinth be overkill or do you think it will add significantly to my sound palate ?

Sarah is a trusted source. My first impression of this is that I’m elated to see zero menu diving like my Mother 32. I have to keep the manual for it handy because I can’t ever recall that first you hold reset then this button and that one while holding step 8. And that’s just how u get to the menu of the mother 32. Twister for ur brain and fingers. 😂

Really helpful introduction! Aside, I could totally see Sarah upping her cool, systematic, deep explanation manner paired to the off-charts weird sound explorations (skulls blown) doing it in a lab coat, channelling her inner Daphne Oram c.s. even more :)
