GREAT TUTORIAL ❤ I just got MATHS, XPO, DXG and couldn't FOCUS on the other VIDEO Being not familiar USING 'MAKE NOISE YET' BEST BASIC TUTORIAL for both MATHS & XPO Amazing 🎶 ❤ Other TUTORIALS; during MORNING COFFEE (still high sensitivity hearing high frequencies that early; I cannot FOCUS drinking coffee ☕ watching other TUTORIALS; SARAH'S TUTORIAL is PERFECT 'DRONE, AMBIENT, TECHNO SOUND 🎶 ❤️

This sound at 25:28 is exactly one of the reasons I got into modular

Wow. Such a thorough review. I would love to see a similar one covering the DPO now 😎

Chaotic (in a good way). It definitely sounds interesting and full of character, especially the wavefolder - reminds me of the 0-Coast in that regard, but fuller-featured. Having a stereo filter seems to be the way to go to get the most from it (at least to my ears), otherwise the overly dry sound can feel wearing (on headphones). Feed this into a stereo delay and reverb (like say the Microcosm) and sync it all together......oh boy (well, have to start saving now)

This combined with a Euroburo would be absolutely fantastic, the stereo possibilities on that thing are insane for effects.

24:45 that sounds so familiar and relaxing. I could swear I have hear that type of patch before but can't put my finger on it.
@bergheft2304 Жыл бұрын
What a great review! I really think about to buy an xpo now! At 24:45 what does the morphagene do in the patch? Since i don't have one, i'm just curious if the character or the color would change on the xpo without it. I really liked this kind of tone. Thanks! :)

I don’t fully understand how one would make use of two different v/oct inputs with this since it’s only one triangle core oscillator. Any ideas?

I think I will be prone to gravitate around your channel from now on for your great work of explaining things and creating interesting patches. But please, don't create crying babies and cats anymore in your patches. Yeah, and no farts either. ^^

As always your video is amazing ! The self modulation patches toward the end are so great ! I always astonished by the speed at which you master the instruments going through your hands ! I was just surprised by the way you used the OSC Sync input, have you tried a more conventional patch with another VCO to see if it still sounds so 'broken' ?
@sarahbellereid2 жыл бұрын
thank you!! yes I did try the sync input with a number of other slightly more normal inputs and the results were very similar (& interesting), so I stuck with Maths for this video mostly to keep a small setup on-screen.

"I'm running everything through Qpas just to take a little bit of harshness out of the high end." Proceeds to play a sequence with 100% harshness... I have O-Ctrl, Maths, Qpas, and Xpan. I just scored an XPO from a seller I know and trust, so I will have it next week. So much to look forward to!

Great review as always! Only one thing I think was overlooked is patching examples with the two V/oct inputs. That seems pretty unique for a single to have two of them, so seems like that would have been interesting ground to cover patching them simultaneously. I can’t even really imagine how that would sound or how that could be used in an interesting way.

Absolutely the best walk through of the Make Noise XPO!! The explanations and demonstrations are very clear and easy to follow.. (Probably because your voice is calming , and has no evidence of the typical Synth demonstrators and influencers who all seem to have mild attention deficit disorder). Your “Expert Hand Model” use of your hands to show the surface controls of the XPO without obscuring what you are doing are exemplary. If you are the talent and the producer, you are to be congratulated. Last, congratulations on your engagement! They better be a musician or loves music! ;-) subscribed!!
