Love the tutorial, very well explained ! But I have a problem with the first part. I do 22 chains, then my first row following what you do and I don’t feel like I’m doing a mistake but I end up row 1 with only 14 stitches every single time… I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, can someone explain please ?

I would really like to work this pattern, but every time I click on the link so I can see the pattern it overlays with a ad for designing a crochet pattern and I can't back out of it. Love this sweater pattern! I found the fabric too loose for my liking so I made an adjustment. I alternated both loops, back loop which created a sturdier fabric. It created a lovely pattern and still provided plenty of texture and drape.
