thanks for doing all this...im an rc glider guy. looking for something to do in the winter. I have not bought an RC car or 35 years. I was on the fence with this car for about 2 months now. finally broke down and bought one. I pray I have a good one.

@@Dorkyand40 As of now there is no race events for these cars in my area! I have been talking to the one and only track in SLC, like you said 3 makes a race. He is all for it. However, posting up in the FB local rc groups. I am not getting much attention. I have Also been working with a big rc shop in the valley to come race with me at the track. But they are hell bent on starting their own parking lot series in the spring. I told them great. Let's move inside or the winter than do yours in the spring as planned, I am seriously Hearding feral cats here. I just need one more guy and I am struggling to find one. We can start racing today the owner of the track said!

10 bucks per race, wow your right about it adding up, I am glad my driveway doesn’t charge and will put my money towards repairing it versus going two hours to the closest indoor track. Plenty of great tennis courts or basketball courts around and with the lap monitor system we have had great success with timing races. I have noticed that my sons and dads car drive awesome and they did some pretty hefty wrecks with some curbs now they are unicorns.

Well we all enjoy the hobby in various ways. I pay race fees to race and hang with my friends but I don’t want to waste extra money on these cars anymore I don’t think

My biggest issue with the box stock was the 2 in 1 esc rx doesn’t have a cable for throttle which is needed for a sound system really makes the race experience much better and the weight of the speaker under the roof helped balance out the car

I do appreciate your video content regarding the Losi nascar and tips and tricks given, I don’t have any local carpet tracks but hoping videos like yours will get people interested and maybe in the future but all carpet tracks are to far of a drive for me with my health issues. Does the nascar work with the lap monitor system even if the body is painted over?

well your steering problem is the servo saver not smooth and its the cause of servo not centering,add washer under servo screw,I glue mine and added washer.

We kept it box stock just oval tho and everyone had a great time. Everyone seemed to be evenly match just came down to tire dope and who could drive better.

Our oval is pretty much the same. Which is good. Oval seems to be the equalizer with these cars. On road is another story. Glad you had a good time

Hobbywing or Furitek are awesome and NSDRC RS100 servo and hot racing steering link make the car better. I’ve tried both. I can’t race box stock, the remote is so small and craptastic my old tennis elbow injury aches 60 seconds in.

I wrapped a ton of grip tape around mine for my carpal tunnel. It helped a lot. I won’t race box stock but I plan to change out some things and make it as cheap as possible and then go to the track and see if it makes the car better. I don’t want speed or power but I want it to be better. If that happens then maybe we can get some tracks to make some rules change. I see some have already allowed racers to swap to the 1060 esc like we use in our tt02 for these reasons

Hobby wing 1625 brushed esc would be the stock equivalent esc allowing for different transmitter and stock motors, best close to stock in performance with out being over the top brushless is the fusion mini 16 2 in 1 the whole system is 72g way lighter than the stock setup and fits great with pinion, motor mount and chassis.

@@scottbrodie3071The Fusion 16 is great actually. Installed on in my son’s car. Comes default as a crawler setup but easy to program and like you said, light!

That's a bummer, man. Mine's got the return to center problem but on the left. I've yet to race road course with it so I haven't dug into it much other than cracking the screws which had no effect. I've got a Hobbywing ESC to install so I'll probably take apart the front end too while I'm under the hood. Quality control really does seem to be a little hit or miss with these. Hopefully Losi can straighten out the consistency of the products because they're selling a buttload of these and it would suck to see inconsistent quality drive these into extinction at racetracks.

Yeah that’s my issues as you can tell and my exact plan. I don’t need stupid brushless power. I want to use same motor battery and hopefully servo since the radio and esc seem to be the main issue because I’ve tried 3 of these servos and they all do the same thing when paired to different radios

Seems like this is one of those walmart car deals. They were for kids to beat and bash but adults want them . I bought one and right out of the box it dont turn left. Weird for a car ment to turn left.

Convince your track to run the udi rc car that costs $100 bucks and drives way better right out of the box. I bought mine at HobbyTown 😆

It's hard to get them to switch the class, it's all about the chassis and not the brand.

Sounds like the car is tweaked. Crank down the spring on the right front shock and raise up the left front.spring collar.

Until the racers quit coming. Hey I want this to succeed so if a few bucks makes it run great then awesome. I’ll wait until people have to replace stuff and or the class dies and then I’ll be ready. Until then it’s not fun racing a unicorn when I have plenty of other cars to race.

My losi nascar has a very loose bell crank that allows lots of front wheel play 😮😐

So I have some amount of slop and play even in my most expensive race cars but how it is managed by the electronics and the tires is the key. My hope is a $22 esc and a replacement radio system and or servo will fix all.
