I like my motor Guid Pro, but you guys could make it 100% better! Some times you have a product that works you say why change it! You need to either make a change or offer your foot pedal with some options! If I get a reply on this comment I’ll tell you my thoughts after running the Pro tour for 5-6 weeks.

Can't get remote to sync at all. Changed batteries. Made sure everything is right in remote. Nothing.

Any idea if heading lock uses GPS to keep you on a straight course if waves and wind is pushing you around?

Here I was looking for a manual cable adjustment since my pedal always ends up locked in heel-down when using the anchor, and slight toe-down points the motor straight ahead. All I need to do next time out now is M-2-8-4 and it will fix this. Now I know!

Lowrance advertise Ti2 chart plotting interconnecting with a MotorGuide Xi3 for a kayak application yet neither party provides a KILL function/mechanism should the craft overturn OR if one was to fall overboard, please clarify and advise???

This doesn’t make sense. How can you deploy the trolling motor? The cable is not going to smoothly run through that black clip.

Can’t get my Motorguide tour pro to even accept the M112 codes to align boat center after second trip on the water with it.

I would never use Zip ties on an wires on my TM..They are sharp & will cut into over time.We learn from our mistakes.it was an expensive lesson.. Electric tape is a much wider choice...👍

Thanks alot barry ! I havnt had this issue yet but i will know for when and if it ever happens. I havnt experienced any issues really besides not getting satelite when i go to a new lake . I simply unplug and plug it back in and sometimes i have to fo it twice and then it will get signal. If you know of any other ways than this please let me know. I keep my motor unplugged at all times when im off the water. If you have any other pointers for any other issues please keep us up to date ! THanks alot !

This motor is the biggest disappointment I have had in my 50 years of fishing. At most it has worked 30 minutes in 50 trips. The spot lock is so dysfunctional that it will throw you off the boat. It will search left and right and then go full speed to the right. I have never been so disappointed with anything. I have always been a Motor-guide supporter… NOT anymore. I has been screwed out of 3000 dollars.

So is the recall for trolling motor over with? Are they good to go now? Ive heard the motherboards were bad.

The cable breaks way too easily and it definitely isn’t simple to replace, the spring falls out every time and it’s a pain trying to get it back in. They also Made the openings so small you can’t use a g force handle your forced to use their garbage handle that is guaranteed to break.

Does the Xi3 Kayak with GPS come with a 2 Blade Prop as well? I only ask as I have been told the 3 blade prop doesn't fit in all drive cavities in some Kayaks.

What they don't tell you is how crappy these are. The GPS spotloc don't work. Had mine in for recall got it back still didn't work. Carried it back an still don't work. People stay clear of this piece of crap.

Did you have to have the humminbird fortrex mount for the 360 machined as the upper shaft is 2 inches vs 1 and 3/4 inch fortrex shaft? i have the tour pro and am facing the same situation as i ordered a fortrex mount + humminbird 360 also. any suggestions appreciated.

I just had my recall done an it still doesn't work. Piece of junk for what I paid for it. Now motorguide doesn't want to stand behind it. Watch other videos about it before buying one. It's been trouble since day one. Don't buy.

They are not worth a crap. I had recall done on mine an it still doesn't work. I talked to motorguide today. They want me to send full price for new one for them to send a new one to my dealer that installed new board. Do not buy this product

So the installation was easy. We had a the MotorGuide tour (without the gps and everything) so we just used the existing mount. But we are having an issue when going to sync the remote to the trolling motor like you did in the video. When I hold down the the 2 arrow keys I don't hear a beep. The trolling motor has power and beeps when we plug it in and the blue and green lights are on. Any suggestions or fix for this?

Well you have the motor facing the rear position not the forward.

Watch out the spring can get turned around and fall out. it is a bitch putting the spring back in. not much room for fingers. needed a hemostat to put spring back in. went through two cables in three months. for a stainless steel cable not very durable.

Will this mount work on an Old Town Topwater 120?

having lots of issues with the motor acting erratic, also my cable sheath is not tight to the cable like the video, how do I fix this>

Can you show us how to stop it from acting erratic during anchor lock. Also, how to untwist the cables inside the sheathing.
