Good review. I have that hammock and am very happy with it. The first thing I did was replace the ridge line with Amstel. Added chinch buckles. Other than that it’s a great hammock. Great for someone starting out or a seasoned pro. After a few upgrades it’s a top notch hammock.

From my experience goretex is just a membrane that gives additional property to layer beneath. If the whole product rely only on goretex it’s maybe like for a light drizzle or a running shoe and running thru some puddles . I have modern military boots that are made for army which are like 200€ and those are the real stuff , we talking mud , tongue Sewed basically to the top , fully tested boots with pressure chambers and then added gore tex on top of it. But since goretex is included , there’s almost zero breathing of your foot , as it’s not possible to have both gore tex and breathing shoe . So for the real deal I would suggest real deal modern army boots either hi or mid which are like the most versatile all year boot you can buy . As for the winter boot I personally bought UGG butte and I can’t believe how much I like them , it’s just really simple boot , old school leather and wool and the way how they feel on your feet is almost walking in the slippers . Not for huge water crossing , but as far as snow and rain all day I’ve tested them myself in a -22c and heavy wool socks and I got by for hours ( but my face did not 😃 ) so I would buy those . I’ve used to have some Nike shoes before and while they kept warm , but they slipped on ice or snow like crazy . These UGG got vibram sole , which even in some ice and tile floor hold it’s own , 100% recommend those . Like I’ve said it’s far from these boots , but it’s like insane wool slippers, no problems with sweat and membrane , leather does all the work , so even when it’s post winter , but rainy and everything I’m taking them just for how slipper like they are and I’m confident that I will be warm , got traction , comfort and dry. So if I can take one shoes only and get out of my house not knowing where and what’s gonna happen I’ll take my modern combat shoes and zombies can chase me , and if it’s casual winter colder walking back and forth with smile , I’ll take UGGs

I might be drunk, but GoreTex isn't supposed to be submerged for a long period of time. Does it work in rain? Duh. Does it work when crossing a river or stream? Duh. Does it work in puddles of water? Duh. Does it work well for swimming in terms of waterproof? Uh, no. It doesn't work that way. I'm drunk as a skunk right now. My big cock is on the table. I love my roosters. Waterproof is a stretch. Same goes for bulletproof vests. They're not bulletproof. Rifles cut through them like a hit knife through butter or like my little cock through the chicken coop. I'm drunk, man. Fuck. Oh. Ohhhhhhh. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

IF YOU NEVER RECEIVED MERCHANDISE DO THIS!!. - If you are a CUSTOMER and you paid by CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD, You can contact your bank or credit card company and ask for a REVERSE CHARGE-BACK. What this does the MERCHANT/SELLER will be forced by the bank or credit card company to refund your money back into your account INSTANTLY While the credit card/debit card charge is being investigated. The CUSTOMER WINS this 95% of the time. And the MERCHANT/SELLER will be penalized $25.00 per occurrence. I had one company do this to me Nine months in a row. Then they stopped doing it to me altogether, I guess they didn't like giving away $225.00 in fees, lol.

Let me add my two cents. I had a new memory foam mattress for sale on Marketplace. A young man said that he was interested in it. I asked my roommate to get the money…. The guy showed up, picked up the mattress and took off without paying. I asked my roommate for the money (he’s kinda of a joker). He said he got no money from the guy…I looked at my roommate’s face and he wasn’t kidding, I’m fuming, the jerk blocked me on f/b. I called the sheriff department, sent the detective the emails, long story short, I got my mattress back within a half hour. CALL THE POLICE and ask for a detective!!

Always love your educational videos, Mark but didn't get how you added the bug net. After watching your orig Townsend hammock presentation, I ordered a Lux UL with bug net for myself. Love the hammock, as it's so comfortable but don't quite get the bug net. Did you just drape it over the ridge line? If so, then how do you close off the foot and head ends without interfering with the UQ cinch up and other cords?? Ask this Q since I will be camping out in mosquito infested Audubon Sanctuary this upcoming weekend. My provided net from Bill has a sewn up sleeve and I was tempted to run the ridge line thru that sleeve but if I do that, I won't have access to any of the cords attached to the ridge line. I'm probably missing the simple solution. Hope you are doing well.

So I finally got around to experimenting with the ideas you presented here. The only diff is I really want to keep using the continuous ridgeline. So I'll deploy the ridgeline then attach the tarp to it. After some tinkering, I ended up larksheading a very small evo loop on each end of the tarp which basically makes the tarp's ridgeline connection point a big fat dyneema knot, so I could rapidly attach/detach each to the dangling loops of the much thinner-lined prussics already on the ridgleine. Everything else pretty much mimics what you showed in the video. Thanks because I think this was a great evolution for me. Now I can easily switch tarps using the same supporting components.

Too bad you didn't have the Capillary burner for this test? How might it have performed? Especially vs Kojin? Kojin is attractive because its top isn't coming off inside a backpack. Ever thought about fabricating a Capillary out of a screw-top tin? Have tried, but can't get Capillary to function properly unless the inner rises a half-inch or more above the outer. And then there's no way to screw a cap on. Any thoughts (besides just using the less efficient Kojin)?

I know you posted 1yr ago but the scam is real they are Africans mostly Nigerians who use VPNs to change location and appear to be living in the UK or USA...even if you trace them you can't send police to them. Same to FDating they will make a lady to love them until she process a visa for him then after getting in the USA they break up
