Hey I just wanted to tell you @ around 13:40 (I’m watching this before bed so if im mistaken my apologies) but temple of doom like you said was a prequel, so we learn that indy wants to return the artifact because he believes in perserving history, in this case returning the stones back to the village. and this is why throughout the other two films that occurred after this movies events indy wants to protect history. Thanks. I just watched the movie and thought what a terrible acting job. I immediately thought it was probably a golf cameo. Lee Trivino acting was terrible too. Wasn’t exactly right but it was a sports cameo so I would probably guess that Frank could have been friends with someone in sports that got him the spot in that movie. It is a comedy so the cheesy acting kinda works so it was left in. Carl weathers was a football player so maybe it was his friend. They could have played together

I remember attempting to watch this, as a huge Eminem fan in high school (early Millenial here) when and where it was still cool to hate on people listening to Eminem cd’s, I had to try watching it on my computer and I just thought that the whole thing looked so fucking ugly as sin, and I genuinely thought my computer was to blame for the horrific frame rate and jumpy schizophrenic presentation. As an early adopter of Newgrounds before even the original Portal was released and it was just the assassin page, I was used to shoddy and low frame count flash animation. But this was SOMETHING else that even I just couldn’t tolerate looking at.

My ranking from best to worst: 1st (Curse of the Black Pearl) Classic swasbuckling pirate action 2nd (On Stranger Tides) Suprisingly good adventure movie with descent humor, cool visuals and a badass villain. 3rd (Dead Mans Chest) Pretty much a adrenaline rush 4th (At Worlds End) A bit too complex and bloated, but still enjoyable 5th (Dead Men Tell No Tales) Only one I dont enjoy. Despite some neat visuals, the problems in the movie are just too big to overlook.

I actually enjoyed this as a kid and still do.

The sad thing is that the aet style is unironically the best thing about the stuff.
