Every now and then I check this channel to see if he has come back. Still no luck. Hopefully one day he will see a reel that makes him really want to break it down and record something new.

Do you by any chance have a video on the bail arm assembly? Can’t seem to put it back together with the cap being flush to the rotor part. Somehow the spring arm bail part prevents it from sitting flush against it (the part with the spring, black plastic and tiny steel bar).

Gold! Solid gold! If, like somebody I know, you got cocky and took the brake apart without knowing what you were doing, this video is a lifesaver. Did I say gold?

Daiwa has let me down twice. 3rd trip Tatula Elite starting grinding loud and making loud noise casting. I only caught a slot redfish about 18 inches. Legit stripped it while my Curado still going strong which was purchased 2 years prior. Then my Daiwa BG seized up even with freshwater light spray and lubing regularly. The anti-reverse clutch locked up as i was shown when sent to Superior B&T reel repair in Baton Rouge. My battle 3 is still going after my idiot friend thought he was helping me out by blasting it for 3 minutes with garden hose. Im done with Daiwa. I see all the hype on social media and thought i would try it. Should have stuck with Shimano and not wasted my time and money. Getting the Tatula repaired as we speak. Crossing my fingers. It was great for the whole 5 hour fish time before the small redfish. If its fixed and last a good while ill rethink it. People tell me daiwa barely oils/greeses their new reels. If so that is stupid

I've been practicing this knot, and trying to test where it breaks to make sure I am doing it consistently. Is everyone else getting it to break at the top of the knot where the braid first comes in contact with the knot? It is as if the entire leader takes the whole knot when it breaks.

Ill never buy anything but korkers. I have these same boots, had them for over 2 years and the the outsole was separating from the rest of the boot. Emailed them about a possible repair and they responded saying that a new pair was on its way and to just send a photo once the new ones arrive of the tongues of the old boots cut out instead of sending them back in to them. Customer for life! Also, there's some nice neoprene repair kits that you can get that work pretty well.

Thanks for such a detailed tutorial. Got a 4000 that that I've used for under half a day on a boat in Cuba. It may have gotten sprayed once by a wave, the rest just salty breeze. Rinsed it with fresh water at the and of the day and let it dry. Upon returning to Canada I've placed it in storage in my basement. About a month later I moved it around and noticed that it has seized up. Opened up the reel, and it seems like the problem was salt in the grease on the pinion. There was also oxidation and some smaller salt deposits on the main and oscillating gears. Seems like water can get inside way to easily through the shaft assembly and the anti-reverse switch. Pretty disappointing given all the hype around it. They shouldn't advertise it as salt ready IMHO. I've used much cheaper reels (Penn Fierce 4000, Fin-Nor Lethal 40 ) in much worse salty conditions and they still work fine years later, without any maintenance. I might keep it for freshwater use, as it seems well built and it casts well. Spheros SW A 5000/6000 are a no brainer in comparison to Daiwa BG: they sell at about the same price with an IPX8 body and 50% more drag.

Eu tenho o slammer 4.

I bought the 2022 version of the 7’6 Steez AGS, it is the next to the best rod I’ve ever owned and used. The first guide is too small, otherwise it’s perfect. Now the best is my Tatula AGS 7’ ml 1/16 -3/8 oz. Now that rod is absolute perfection.

hey, I have a question, my Daiwa BG reel fell on the ground, it was dirty, I washed it in the pond, then I dried it, it started squeaking, it doesn't put up much resistance or anything, but it squeaks, I blew it with a compressor and nothing, what do you think could be the reason and how could I fix it?
