Hey Nicole! I'm a Dev Advocate at ServiceNow and my boss and I were LITERALLY talking about your channel as an example of amazing, helpful edu-tainment. This tutorial couldn't have come at a better time! A+ as always

Oh wow! That's so cool! I've tested ServiceNow in a previous project, heh. I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos!

Really respect the process especially on the selecting the video title. I see some creators who genuinely have decent content but tend to have click-baity, overly conclusive ("best", "only x you will need") titles which actually cause me to devalue their insights, assume where their priorities lie, and create a barrier when searching for an information later. It's a real testament of someone's integrity to do otherwise and huge thanks for pointing out this bane of youtube (in the name of so-called "algorithm"). Thanks Nicole. :)

I appreciate this comment so much! I also think clickbaity titles attract the wrong crowd-- which isn't such a big problem when a creator is just trying to get as many clicks as possible, but it's definitely a problem when their goal is to create thoughtful content and get thoughtful responses back. Thank you for your kind words!

Thanks for this excellent video, Nicole! I just recently became one of your Patreon supporters; I have found your tutorials so useful, and I love being able to have extra and/or early access to bonus material, templates, etc. I'm working on a template I can use for developing Substack post writing ideas, and this workflow video is hugely helpful. ❤

Hi! Thank you so much for your support! I'm so glad you're finding some value out of what I'm creating too. I am working on writing more this year, including actually starting up a newsletter. I think I may have found a way to do that that works really well with Obsidian -- more on that soon!

Being completely ignorant of the production side of KZbinrs it did amaze me how the algorithm helps you set up titling for maximum appeal. I noticed other channels do things like swap out the thumbnail after a day or so, and increasingly fly a community post as a heads up which links to the video itself. And / or a repeat post at different days of the week or time of day (to catch people on their commute?)... And sometimes a post later on to say 'hey did you catch my vid I dropped last week?'. Great video, will have to watch on PC to see the details.

Yeah, I have noticed that and it probably does get views more eyeballs. I have enough trouble just posting about my videos on socials at all. I'd rather just say it once and move on! 😅

Great to see your workflow. Would be keen to know what you're using for the screen-recording for your obsidian videos. Particularly the usage of keystrokes also appearing on screen. Very cool.

Wonderful video! Thanks, Nicole. How I am able to mark down this clickable copy button in 8:51? Is it a plugin or is it a core function? 🤔
@nicolevdh8 ай бұрын
It's a core feature for code blocks! :)

Way too nice : ))))) And totally usable for 'mere' text or audio content too. So you haven't 'front ended' the DataView and the general front yet, via Canvas in Obsidian yet? to give a more 'card like' flow other than the KanBan... next step maybe. Good recap of DataView and templates. Thank you again... ...

I do KZbin stuff for work as well. You can find me on Grafana Labs (youtube.com/@grafana) and k6 (youtube.com/@k6io). I also do a video podcast on intersectionality and tech called Adobo and Avocados (youtube.com/@adoboandavocados). And some other things I haven't publicly mentioned yet. :)
