Good transfer from LP. The original LP pressing was pretty crappy. thanks for sharing!

I have this vinyl album in my Maynard collection! It is very special because the inside jacket is signed by the Boss Himself. 🎺🎵🎶

I have met Maynard back stage, fell in love with his music 1970, been to many concerts and am sooooo proud as a true Canadian, so was Maynard. He did it until he couldn't do it anymore. Maynard kept reinventing, giving the finest youngest musicians the opportunity of a lifetime. The list goes on and on but my message is that Maynard is still very much alive within me and will be for eternity!

My first Doc album, bought at the behest of my H.S. band teacher - hey check this guy out kind of thing. What do I know, I'm listening to Hendrix. I put this album on my vintage Monkey Ward turntable - still haven't picked up my jaw off the ground, almost 50 years later.

I always marveled at Maynard's timing to fit all of his intro comments into a perfect verse or two, and be ready for the kicker bridge. It was no accident - he is a master!

This album was released when I was a junior in high school. I remember listening to "Yesterday Once More" alone in my bedroom and feeling tears well up in my eyes -- something a high school boy wasn't supposed to let happen.

Thank you for posting this recording on KZbin. I do not own an LP player and this album was never released on cd form. It is a great album and you have given me an opportunity to hear it. Doc's early recordings I regard as an underappreciated gem.

Jerry Ringo, I like your use of the word “only”. (It's only a double Eb, though, being the Eb above double C.). Anyone who nails Eb above double C at fff deserves to have it called a “triple” LOL. Has ANYONE ever convincingly nailed Eb above that ?? It’s like being called a supercentenarian once you hit 110 years old - anything above double D deserves the title “triple”!

Trumpet players should join the rest of the music world and adopt the system of naming notes where C4 = middle C on the piano. Then the C above that is C5, then C6, then C7, ...
