When you grant a student an extension (changing their due date) on an assignment or test with release conditions (specifically the Hide After date), do we also need to edit the student's Hide After date to make sure it doesn't hide until after their extended due date, or will that automatically adjust when we grant their new due date?

Is it possible to set the extra credit up with "max points" and then based on what the students do, they will receive up to that max points or all the points? It seems as though the feature give a set amount of points, rather than allowing for a max point.

Thanks for walking through this. I guess my only issue is that the new Schema still adds the Extra Credit points to the total. So they have a 76.7% out of 430 points, so if they did 20 points extra credit, they should actually have a 81.3% out of 430 point. However, the new schema adds the extra credit assignment total, so instead of calculating from 430 points, it calculates from 450. In the original Blackboard, you could just set the Extra Credit assignment to 0 and it would add the points to their total, without increasing the total points for the course grade. However, I'm discovering currently that if I set it to 0, then Blackboard Ultra won't award the student more than 0 points in the calculations, regardless of the number I give them. I just noticed this tonight, and am I trying to figure out how to fix it, because I don't want it to add the extra 20 points to the total, as you can see, it decreases the actual affect of doing the assignment. Which, if that is how you want extra credit to be calculated, that's fine, but I'm looking to make it very clear that my extra credit assignments will replace direct points (so 20 points would be actually making up 20 points in the grade). If anyone has figured this out, let me know! Thanks! EDIT: Okay, it appears that the old method of just making the assignment worth 0 points, and assigning it the appropriate category, works. However, it only updates from the Student view --- not the instructor view. So the Student would see, say, a 79% but from instructor view, I only see 77%. So... is this a weird glitch only I am having, or is this a bigger problem?

Do you have any tips for the file formatting for importing questions? I have followed the guide for using excel saved as a tab delimited .txt file where each line is a question and each column is type/question/answer1/correct/answer2/incorrect/answer3/incorrect. There is no header and only 30 rows of questions. Saved as .txt and zipped as the only file in the zip. I get an error every time that it will not import. Any ideas?

The stats report in ULTRA is informative but not as "student friendly" as in Blackboard Original (the Bb Original report could be saved as a pdf. for both faculty and student records). Can you help?

Hi! I have one student who needs to write her final exam at a different time than the rest of the class and I cannot figure out how to do this. The exam is timed, set to start at a specific time on a specific date and is set for 180 minutes. I'm really hoping you know how to make an exception for one student to access that exam early. Can I make this work with weighted grades where the point values are not weighted equally? For example, both a quiz and a test might be worth 100 points, but the average of the tests equals 25% of the grade while the average of quizzes is only 15%.

When I exempt the extra credit category, the value I inserted returns to "0".

If you are using an Publisher LTI Tool with deep links, you will need to assign them to a category for them to show up in the overall grade setup. Another element of an accurate gradebook is grading the items the right way. Thanks for the video. Some of my students' grades in my added "Overall Grade w/ Bonus Points" column went down. I was under the impression that the bonus can only increase, not decrease their grade? The bonus grade category is excluded from the overall grade (have checked about a dozen times at this point) Wondering if I'm missing something really simple?

Hi. My question is, if the extra credit points earned vary, will I have to create multiple extra credit assignments in order to give the extra points they earned. For example, 1 student may have earned only 3 extra points while another student earned 5 points, and another only 1 point. Didn’t want to say 20/20 if they only have 3 points extra credit, etc.
