Titan gonna Titan because my V1 of the V2 Titan fits perfectly in my 49” rack 😬. I can confirm the SS4 handles will fit Titan SSB. I added the BOS short handles and they are great. Just enough room for my hands to grab and not have any excess to knock my knees. Great video.

Elite FTS has camber bars that come with angled grips (like you have) and with neutral grip. I would like to buy one of those two bars , but a not sure which one would be better for me. I am leaning toward getting the angled grip bar. Why did you get an angled grip instead of a neutral grip bar? Thanks.

Kurt, I love your channel and your reviews. However, on this review, I think you made some unfair comparisons with the Exxentric flywheel system. First, in the price comparisons at the end of the video, you used the most expensive options for the Exxentric equipment. Namely, you used the kbox pro system ($3500) when the kbox active system is $1630, which is a slightly smaller platform and functionally is the same as the kbox pro. You also used the kpulley pro system example ($2530), when the kpulley Go system is $1370 and again functionally equivalent to the pro version. Also you pointed out that with the quest, you don't have to stand on a platform, but when you mentioned this, you didn't say the quest has to be bolted to the floor making it unmovable. The kbox can be mounted to the floor, which allow you to do some (not all) exercises without standing on the platform. Also the kpulley can easily be mounted to a power rack (must purchase $130 mount), which eliminates the need to bolt it to a wall. Additionally, if you bought the kbox system and the kpulley system, you would be doubling up on some accessories that you could save money on by buying the base unit ala carte and buying accessories separately. You also didn't mention that the pro versions include the kmeter which is analogous to the rep one of the quest. I'm going through all the trouble writing this because I just ordered the kbox active and kpulley go with several accessories for about $3500. I'm just sayin'...

@TheKurtlocker I apologize for the confusion, thank you for taking the time reply. My goal is to train push press (see comment 1), and I heard the VHS bar would be ideal for this since you don't have to get your head out of the way of the barbell. You suggested a log in your reply. I would be willing to use the log to train push press, but would need some more information as to why I should incorporate log into my training since I am probably too old to start competing in strongman. I mentioned log press in my initial comment because your review mentioned that you were using the VHS bar to help train your log press (if I remember correctly).

Good Stuff Kurt! OVRs stuff has been catching my eye when I see it and I've been on the fence about it. Now that I've been doing powerlifts with chains/bands in addition to just learning power cleans and snatches to be more explosive I think I can justify adding these to my arsenal. Not only effective but fun....like they say "gamify your training" or something like that 👊💪

off topic, thinking about the VHS bar for training push press. In your opinion, is that bar worth it for that movement like it is for log press?
@TheKurtlocker4 күн бұрын
So it’s a similar had position but not a similar spacing to any log I’ve used. I like the VHS bar but nothing can replace a log due to body positioning with that implement etc. If having a log isn’t in the cards, than a VHS bar will make sense but remember the spacing is just a little off but still closer than a standard barbell

Very cool discussion and products! Might need to save to pick these up. I’ve been training to dunk so measuring vertical is something I’m very interested in. The main gap is I’m more interested in improving a full approach jump versus just a standing vertical jump, so my main metric is want to measure is the full approach jump. I do believe that improving a standing vertical jump will have some carry over to a full approach jump so there’s still value there. Daisy chaining multiple OVR jumps might be able to measure full approach jumps but at that point it’s no longer as budget friendly.

OVR Jump sensor’s RSI or reactive strength index is the tool you’re looking for in your circumstance.

Will it be able to calculate a RIR based on rep velocity changes?
@TheKurtlocker9 күн бұрын
Sort of. It does have a “fatigue” indication that I’m fairly certain is an algorithm based on initial bar velocity and the last rep. Whether it predicts a particular RiR would be something for a future update. Awesome question. Imagine the app counting down your reps for you.
@maherbeg92839 күн бұрын
@ ooh that’s cool! There are some interesting graphs related to RIR and rep velocity that we could map. Sometimes I try to track it manually but sometimes that lazy deadlift rep at 0RIR is haaaaard
@TheKurtlocker9 күн бұрын
That’s what I like about the app interface here. The real-time readout of velocity is something you can really start to see fatigue with.
