I will mostly use it with my VSTs and organ instruments. I actually do not like the waterfall action of Hammond organs (I returned both XK-1c and XK-4 for this reason). I will use it with a pedalboard. I also have V Collection X and Pigments (after all pipe organ was really a first synthesizer 😊)

I must admit that I don’t use the maschine hardware anymore. I don’t record in maschine software either. I get my joy out of the expansions. Gonna start using cubase 14 pro in a couple months. Looking forward to using the mk3 with that 🎹💙

Not perfect, indeed. Inside Components, the endless encoders have limited "absolute" functionality. Minimum to maximum. The fact that Relative is not an option in the editor is a major, ridiculous oversight. They need to update Components and also, the firmware, to get this controller as good as it can be. It's close, but that is such a huge mistake, it annoys the hell out of me. Additionally, the Play button, on the Mini 37, does not send a MIDI message (often Ch16, CC115, which is standard for Transport: Play). The Record button DOES send MIDI, though (Ch16, CC117). These small oversights really make the controller craptastic. If they can fix these two things, they could really have a winner on their hands.

so people be careful..low frequencies on rokits 5 are nowhere to be found..bass is so weak and disappointing in every angle even if you boost it from the settings..So if you want to get a pair buying the s8.4 sub is a mus,it adds the missing bass and with the good highs and mids from the speakers you have a good sound system,or skip everything and go for the rokits 8 or even better the FOCALS 65 EVOS which is BY FAR the best monitor in under 1000 euros. peace and love

Side by side - i heard the KRK Rockit's vs AdamAudio A4v. Bought some a few days later.... ;)

Many thanks for the great and balanced review! Just had to return mine with Collectors Edition as the USB powering was not possible. Did spend one complete weekend with different USB cables and Power connectors and although Power separately it always said "low power". NI would I think do a great Job if they would ship it with the adequate Power supply which would cost them maybe 5 extra Euros. Instead customers can be lost and or return product. After I just returned they keyboard I learned that it does not work with all USB cables as a specific diamter of coppet wire is needed. Would have loved to enter the NI environment but for a bundle of approx 2000 Euros I do not want to become a NI Service engineer. Sorry to say but if you received the keyboard for free you are Sponsored by NI :-)

I came back to Studio One after taking a break from it since Artist 4. IT HAS BLOWN MY MIND. Hopped right back in with my Atom controller and it was so intuitive.

This update is certainly not a priority. I have a studio which I love. I wouldn't update to the new version,so as long as they support the studio I'm good. ( It is the best one to me instantly a classic tool). The problem he has is why I don't do complete tracks in Machine anymore. I do my basic track layout learned to take track out to how to large bars counts because once there down they don't loop well in other daws.Once I transferred over the sound quality is excellent and goes well with further production. So I start a lot in machine but finish, mix etc,in Reaper. Reapers mixer is my favorite. So Machine Studio and Reaper work for me.
