You mean to tell me this song was here the whole time? It feels like it fell out of the universe and landed in this moment.
@RogerioLupoArteCientifica12 күн бұрын
you just described the reason why being here now means so much. The present is not determined by the past, but actually, it's the other way around. The present moment is the source of the past. In this sense, this song has just been created as if it existed long ago. That's not something to be believed but experienced. But that process is the source of what people call "miracles". Somehow people find a way to suspend their belief in the concreteness of the past. Then in a glimpse, they can see through the illusion of time and a fresh new present is born, and with it a new past, where the issue has never existed.

The first time I heard this song was only a couple years ago myself. I was surprised I had not heard it before. I always think of my mother when I hear this because that day that I first heard it I was driving in my car and my mom had passed a couple of years previous. I was kind of talking to her and feeling really down and missing her. And listening to Spotify comes on. It absolutely felt like her giving me a gentle and loving admonishment. I love the guitar in this and the tempo feels just like a mother’s lullaby. ❤🥹🦋🙏🏼

@@GEMSofGOD_com however, sorry to sound churlish, but George Harrison died in 2001 and over 20 years later everyone has waited for some reissues. There was an album of rarities 20 years ago. Sadly I should imagine half the fan base who was actually around when he was alive is now dead. I quite understand that there is the concept of ‘flogging a dead (dark) horse’ and no one wants that, but a lot of fans have been waiting a while. Wonderful to hear. But selfishly I’d like to hear more whilst I’m still here (clinging on to this rock). I believe we were promised reissues and rarities and hidden tapes, but why does it take over twenty years to hear take 8 of Be Here Now? I’m only here for a brief spell and I’d like more before I snuff it.

Absolutely stunning. Listen on a pair of good headphones.The clarity is stunning. George's vocal is wonderful. His voice is clear and strong. His harmonies- majestic. The few moments where he drops his t's- never noticed that before. The instrumental atmosphere is shimmering. Such a good remix without the original muddiness. I can now hear strange little percussions deep down in the mix that I've never previously heard. A deep note, and something that sounds like fast fingers on some kind of drum. It's all sublime.

@spiritof666329 күн бұрын
@@cactaceous It's not really Ram Dass' message either, as staying in the present moment has been a staple of Eastern philosophy for thousands of years. Harrison just happened to craft a beautiful song around it.
@cactaceous29 күн бұрын
@@spiritof6663 If you read the book you would know that the book is an autobiographical account of his spiritual transformation and personal reflections based on spiritual and metaphysical learnings. Including about nutrition and cooking. So it is Ram Dass’ message. The title of Be Here Now is a phrase used in passing by a friend in one of his trips to India. Ram Dass picked up on how profound it was if analyzed and used it.

"Be Here Now" stands out as a reflective and meaningful piece in George Harrison's catalog.
