After 'All Things Must Pass', 'Living In The Material World' is my favourite George album. Some very moving songs on each of these excellent albums. Pleased he retained a spiritual personna throughout his life; sad, he abandoned the Catholic faith of his youth. Jesus is supreme hope for all of us in this troubled world. May Lord Jesus have mercy on his soul. Looking forward to hearing the 50th anniv release.

Geez, took 'em long enough, the 50th anniversary was a year ago. Rolling Stone online has a great article on the lp, how the album was largely forgotten. It was after the massively popular All Things Must Pass, and then included in the career debacle that followed it- George's voice problems, the 1974 tour train wreck and the mediocre albums from '74-1979. LONG overdue...

I was just on the Harrison website and CD 1 and LP 1 are the original album tracks, but they are all remixes. The rest is outtakes, alt versions, etc. I have a few remastered CDs and I like most of them and understand the reason behind them. Not so sure what the purpose of remixes is. Maybe I'm just getting old.🤔 Does a remix actually change the original structure of the song, or add things to it, or both? Maybe some viewers can help me out on this one.

In this case the sound is way more transparant, it has more depth and it gives Klaus Voormanns bassplaying and all these orchestral arrangements such a boost. Remixer Paul Hicks did a great job!
