Just want to confirm - To bake an 8 inch cake, it takes 120 mins? That is what is stated in the directions.

Yes as the temperature is very low, the time it requires to bake will be longer. Some ovens requires even more so after 120 mins, insert a toothpick to check if it is fully baked or not. Adjust the time accordingly by 5 to 10 mins if required.

Well making cronuts isn't any easy process. Hence it is done in stages...making the dough, proofing, refrigerating the dough and then finally rolling and cutting it out into cronuts.

@@BakeandToss I know it's hard to find one it's always donuts. The first time I tasted Cronuts I was in cloud 9. Like wth is this pastry!?SO ADDICTIVE! I am doing it now. My big dough is in the freezer(first day). I figured of course the maker himself won't reveal step by step so I followed yours but tried his ingredients with grapeseed oil and all yada. Btw, your heat is in celcius or Fahrenheit? Would appreciate to hear from you soon! 😁🥰

@@mafiafatale you can laminate the next day....but just remember to refergirate rather than freezing the dough as frozen dough is not that easy to roll out.

If you want to make pistachio paste, get some pistachios and roast them for 7-8 minutes after that use a blender and then blend for like 10 minutes depending on your blender. It should turn out very smooth and creamy. Must be patient

This is because the dough is too cold and the butter is too hard. Try resting the dough for 20 mins at room temperature...the butter will soften and will be easier to roll out the dough.

Well u if it is very runny, you may cook it a bit further else just refrigerate it and it will solidify and then you can add the butter and whip it.

The cake smells exactly like vanilla cake. As for the texture...it is comparatively less bouncier and softer when compared to chiffon cakes...I mean very little as it uses rice flour, still it is soft..hope this helps with your queries. 😊

You can try with agar agar powder. I haven't tried with it yet so can't really give you an answer. As gelatin is the prime ingredient that makes the flowers flexible.

It is freeze....if you refrigerate it will be more of a disaster as butter will seep through when you roll the dough. Butter will soften faster than the dough due to heat from your palm...so don't worry.

Well, if you use water bath, the baking time may vary. Once baked, insert a toothpick at the center and see if it is baked completely or not.

@@BakeandToss I ask as I would like to double - make it 8 inch - my oven is quite strong in power - you state 76 minutes cooking period for an 8 inch pan - seems a long time but perhaps @ 160 C - that is what is needed - Or simply one begins to control at the 60 / 70 minute mark - I will try and let you know - Thank you for answering my question - By the way - Congratulations ! 6 egg whites. Please weigh the egg whites separately and use as per the quality mentioned. As eggs have different weights based on their sizes. I used medium sized eggs weighing around 60g each including shell weight.
