Too late, too expensive, too little improvement. Better saving this money or investing on a Volca or Aira. At least those can be purchased immediately at a reasonable price and are real quality, not like Behringer 2nd quality cheapos. As an example think at those loose joystics on the Pro Vs Mini. Lack of development, production and/or QC. Or remember Grind which is a magnificent, but non existent product. This is how I see Behringer products and brand.

There is a single CV out (labelled CV) where you can set the values of each step between 0 and 255. Otherwise the triggers & accents all output a very short square wave over CV but I suspect this isn't what you meant.

My k2 mk2 is currently getting CV from Ableton's CV tools via expert sleepers ES3 (through adat) : envelope to cutoff lpf , LFO/shaper to Total mod, LFO /sahper 2 to PWM , and finally audio from softube modular osc modules (rubycon, plaits, doepfer , ... ) : it works very nicely. The resulting audio goes back to ableton into overdrive and reverbs . I'd like to buy a real envelope module though because i need the hands-on experience that a mouse or a controller doesn't provide.

Sounds like a really cool setup. Good plan on getting an envelope module. I love MI Stages and some of the Behringer options are decent too. What do you think of the ES3? I keep on looking at Expert Sleepers modules but struggle to justify the cost of the ES8 / ES9.

I’m not convinced the upgrade would be worth it - unless you are selling the MK1 to cover most of the upgrade cost. You’d probably be better off getting another synth and having a wider sonic palette. The K-2 MK2 is a cracking box for the money. As is the Edge.
@Rr0gu3_5utureАй бұрын
Yeah, it's that very specific Roland single oscillator sound I'm after. I'll likely just sell some household bits-n'-bobs on Gumtree and buy a Michigan Synth Works MSW-810 instead. Ahh... so if it's slaved to another device, the sequencer and arp malfunctions. 🤔 Since many of us would be using their MS-1 synced to a groovebox or DAW, this takes a lot of steam out of the MS-1. I was thinking about getting this. Good to know... bad to experience. It might not be a deal breaker if one externally sequences the MS-1 from another device that serves as it's 'brain'... like an MPC or a Polyend Play. Kinda like how I use the MPC to sequence my Cre8audio East Beast, Behringer Edge, and Volca NuBass... actually, these days.. I externally sequence most of my synths from the MPC One... largely because it serves as the best 'song-mode'. Has anyone attempted to sequence the MS-1 externally? If so... are there any issues with the playback?

I compared beginning, middle and end of this audio test. I hear at most, a very minor fade, hardly noticeable. However, I'm not likely to use the synth this way--cranking the resonance continuously for 30 minutes to an hour. At most I would use that setting on the filter for 10-20 minutes in a recording, and usually less. So I don't see this as a problem.
