Gerry- I have used the thinnest sew on interfacing as a foundation, I can always get that at 50% off. For smaller pieces I use used dryer sheets. I love what you did. God bless.

I am currently using 8 1/2 by 11 newsprint paper as foundation to make a rainbow string quilt. And yes my blocks are rectangles because that is how I want the quilt. I do like you idea with the squares. Thanks Annette. 😀

Thank you for your seeming endless creativity! WOW!♥️ That makes me want to sit at my sewing machine right now, but alas, the garden called and it needs some more tomatoes and peppers planted before the rain comes(4days of it)! The I will have 4 days to sew.🤓

Bonjour Annette.

Thank you for this, it got my day going on a happy and creative note. Such a cute quilt. Reminds me of a small paper pieced spider block wall hanging I did long ago. I had to use scraps from a swap and added on black to add some contrast and order to it. I think I would enjoy making the size of your quilt so much more than the larger throws I made.

Bonjour Annette!

I did this during a low point in my life when i couldn't get any "real" sewing done. I made 6 1/2" squares, and by the time my crumbs were used up, I had 117 of them. Then the show choir I sing in started planning a Dolly Parton themed show that included "Coat of Many Colors". Guess what I did with those squares? 😊

Thanks for pointing this out Angie! ☀️☀️☀️. I had not added it to the playlist, but now it is added. Here's the direct link to #6. But the playlist link will have it now. Block 9 will be June 4, Block 10 will be June 11, and the completed quilt top will be June 18th. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2Sao4FrdrNsopo
