It’s a bracket that mounts onto the turbo, which allows for the turbo inlet to push onto.

!! READ !!! AIR FILTERS TEST.....Your video is absolute nonsense and shows how to damage the engine very much !!! You have absolutely no knowledge or experience with the quality of replacement parts. Unfortunately a lot of people are interested in bullshit and not reality. I'll be specific: the manufacturer K-N makes the WORST , MOST EXPENSIVE filters on the market !!!! They do not filter at all and cause engine damage!!! I got this information from knowledgeable people who have done tests on air filters from different brands and observed how they filter. I'll describe what was observed for the filters: 1.filter area 2.number of paper folds at the filter, 3.number of functional paper folds, 4.price, 5.clean filter weight, 6.initial efficiency (grams), 7.total efficiency (grams), 8.initial pressure drop(hPa), 9.total sensing capacity (grams) , 10.efficiency(%), 11.filter tightness (cm3/min). Filters from the following manufacturers were tested : ORIGINAL VW, MANN FILTER , MAHLE, MEYLE GERMANY, STARLINE, VALEO, FILTRON, JC PREMIUM CHAMPION and K-N.................. IF YOU WANT I WILL ALSO WRITE THE RESULT OF THE TEST....?!

Depending on what engine you have it may not be possible to install a full GTI exhaust system - i.e. if you have a 1.8T you’ll be fine but if you have a 1.4T you’ll have to stop at the downpipe unless you go aftermarket. Remember also that it will differ between the MK7 and MK7.5 that I have, especially the rear muffler/back box.

I’m not too sure I understand your question. If you want to include a 2.0T resonator down to the muffler that’s not an issue but you’ll have to make an adapter from your downpipe to the resonator.

Thanks for your feedback, I think there’s a lot of potential with this platform (more so than the MK8). Note that these are OEM parts, you’ll have to contact your local VW Dealership using the part numbers mentioned in the video.

The bumpers between the Golf TSI, GTI/GTD/GTE and R are all the same, the only difference is in the diffuser. Just make sure that if you have a MK7 you get a MK7 diffuser and if you have a MK7.5 you get a MK7.5 diffuser.

It’s got bigger diameter tips. Note also that if you use the TCR Rear Valence with GTI Exhaust it’ll look all wrong.

No, this has the original Down Pipe Cat & Resonator, the only change is the Rear Muffler being upgraded to a GTI TCR one for aesthetics and sound.

The Parts Number for the Cabin Filter is the following; VF2047. I unfortunately haven’t used a K&N Oil Filter, however, the K&N website should be able to assist you based on your vehicle registration/VIN.

I have a manual so it’s a dry clutch, and not much you can do maintenance wise. On a side note, the DSG hasn’t got a wet clutch but a Haldex fluid… the only wet clutches I’m aware of are on motorcycles.

VW used to recommend doing it every 5-years or 50,000 miles. They’ve recently stopped recommending a period prior to changing the timing belt i.e. they are not allowed to tell you when to change it. I recently did mine in June 2023 just before my car turned 6-years old and 45,000 miles.

Seems to be a common theme with these parts, just finished installing on my Fabia 1.2 tsi 110, was able to get it all to fit with a bit of work but was a pain in the arse to get the factory elbow off because of various hoses being in the way. The inlet pipe seems to have the greatest effect on intake with the elbow only making a small difference. I’ll keep it on for a bit and see how it goes but in hind sight probably just go for the intake hose and save the money for something else. A very informative video but only found it after I’d already ordered both parts.

Sorry to hear you had a similarly disastrous experience. In the end I decided to remove the MST Elbow Pipe entirely given the baffles annoying as they are would at least prevent dust getting into the turbo. For reference, my future CAI of choice will be one manufactured by RacingLine and made specifically for the EA211 1.4T. I appreciate all you great feedback! Have a great day.

How did you decide on your cockpit set up? I have a little newer version but mine has a 90MM stem and short bars. It's a little too aggressive riding for casual and I'm toying with changing it up some for comfort. Any suggestions?

I chose my cockpit setup based on my riding style… I’m not much of a climbing fan and prefer fast downhill. Aggressive is also subjective… for Downhill/Freeride a 90mm stem is way too long, however, if you drop to 30/45mm stem like mine you’ll be too aggressive for anything Cross-Country/Climb orientated cycling.

I’ve properly run my exhaust in and it sounds really good lately… I’ll try and get some clips in the next month or so. Note that I have the 6-speed manual. I believe the 8-speed DSG only came about as of the MK8.

You’ll see from the title that it’s a 1.4L TSI that means it’s a Petrol. The Diesel would be a 1.6L TDI.

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding its legality, make sure you cover your bases with endurance and emissions (noting that it has passed its MOT). Given it’s an OEM exhaust it’s not overly loud and hasn’t attracted any undue attention from the police. I hope this helps.

It definitely is more of a good feeling/sound type of modification… though I would say it allows the turbo to spool up quicker than your standard OEM panel filter.

If you have a MK7 then the MK7 ClubSport diffuser is the one you should be looking for. If you have the MK7.5 (A.K.A facelift) then this TCR diffuser will fit fine.

That’s a really great car! You’ve got the perfect interior and the lucky spoiler that’ll have the Maxton V2 Spoiler Cap fit perfectly. Regarding the diffuser, I’d recommend looking at the ClubSport S diffuser, however, you may find a more aggressive one from Maxton Design or other third-party manufacturers.

@@alexandermax13 Yes bro, i really just found a agressive looking maxton diffuser for r line also, i really like the r line also because its has the luxury and also it is an 1.4 so it will not drink to much 😅, but yeah the spoiler really make the difference of it. I also have mid smoke rear lights and dark windows. On the front windows i have a chameleon tinted windows very beatiful. Soon i going to order the maxton diffuser and a custom exhaust that will change the car very much, and of course we not going to forget the front splitter and the skirts 😉 for the exhaust iam looking for a good budget, i mean armytrix sound really damn good but its a exhaust setup for like €2500 😅 Maybe i will do bull X or Milltek idk bro

In the UK all base model Golf’s had the standard 1.4T, the ACT was and I believe still is only reserved for the R-Line.

I do not as this OEM GTI TCR diffuser comes with side spats and integrated valence. My likeliest upgrade will be GTI Parker wheels and upgraded brakes using the non-PP (Performance Pack) GTI brakes (312mm diameter disks) by upgrading the calliper carriers.

The slight fitment on bumper is due to not fitting side panels which fits in the gaps on each-- side 2 x TCR Rear Diffuser Trim ... iam still looking for the side trims as I have gti 2019 and fitted the tcr diffuser myself . Any one know where to find the trim pieces?

I know, the only reason I haven’t got them is due to them have 3-tabs, therefore, requiring that you either drill the bumper or cut them off. Best place to purchase them will likely be via your local VW Dealership. PN: 5G6-807-603-041 (Left) & 5G6-807-604-041 (Right).

No adapter was used for the rear derailleur, however, I did change my derailleur hanger to ensure my chain line was correct.

Unfortunately I have no idea. I recommend you disconnect your own (if you have a car with an EA211) and use a calliper to measure the internal diameter. If you do, feel free to post it here for people to use as a reference in future.

I haven’t but at the time, it was extremely grimy, thus likely seeming matte black vs. gloss.
