Ok the CEO could go tomorrow but the bikes are still gonna get jacked up in price. If Trump puts 25% on imports then a $12k Nightster will go up by $3k....so these Tarrifs are gone hurt. How much produce comes from Mexico, how many things in Walmart come from overseas...they'll all go up. This tariffthing is I sane and will bite down hard on you and me man.

Still riding my first and only Harley. A 1995 springer softail. It’s been very reliable, still runs great and the original paint still shines up nicely. It’s not fast and doesn’t stop on a dime but i still get a grin whenever I throw a leg over it. It’s easy to maintain and on the rare occasion something goes wrong it’s easy to fix yourself. What more can you ask for in a bike?

It’s everywhere now unfortunately. I ran 2 Indians (Springfield and Challenger) thinking it would be better. The Springfield Was relatively problem free, but the Challenger was plagued with the same type of hard to diagnose electrical gremlins. When it was good, it was real good! But It’s demise was electrical reliability issues combined with lack of dealer support. I was on a long out of state ride when one of my Bro’s hit a major pothole on his road glide. HD had him back on the road within 2 hrs. Within a few months I knew a guy who bent a rim and blew out a tire on a Challenger. The dealer told him it would be weeks before they could get the wheel in. I’m on a ‘23 Road Glide now. I knew I would have to drop a lot of money into suspension and motor work to get to where I’d be happy, but I’m confident that with the mild upgrades I’ve done HD could get me back on the road sooner than weeks. The 24’s are still in “beta testing via customer period” . My ‘23 has all the electronic shit you could ever want. The 24’s added a TON of additional electronics. That IMO is what is screwing these new models up the most! YMMV

Trump couldn't pass an 8th grade civics test, OR economics test. Tariffs bailed Harley out in the 80's, and tons of people still bought Japanese bikes, they just payed more. This time around, Harley priced themselves out of business.

That clutch is adjustable and it's correctly set from the factory - to engage all the way out. That allows for faster and hence smoother shifts.

We use them in HDRA. They’re terrible. I’m no HD guy at all, but this thing would flop. It can’t compete with the BMW G310, Triumph 400, KTM Duke 390, or any of the Japanese small bikes. Build quality is atrocious and the ride terribly.

I prefer to believe that the current leadership is just incapable of being extraordinary. After watching your video I interpreted that they could do a better job if belief aligned with American values. I think you are giving them credit for being capable but preferring not to be. I believe you are what your results say you are. They are not capable leaders and their leadership and decision making will not lead to exceptional growth or strategic positioning. The results/data speak to that. There is no need to cloud things with political views and trying to understand the minds and motivations.

how does HD owners/salesmen/mechanics not know the "bad battery" potential problem? EVERY other brand bike owner KNOWS that with the modern electronics on most bikes, the FIRST thing you check is the battery!!! Harley owners live in a very very small universe...they know next to nothing about real motorcycles, and not much more about their T-shirt boutique chromed turds either!! LMFAO

well, even in a low-speed accident (approx 50-60km/h or 30-40 mph) the bumps i could feel (and hear) the helmet absorb from the road was worth wearing 2 helmets for XD I was lucky and got away with scrapes, bruises and a sore wrist.

I think many Americans are misguided by HD manufacturing in Thailand. I am an ExPat Australian (bike enthusiast) living here for 15 yrs. I have a Sportster S 2023 & Heritage Classic 2022. Both bikes are built in Thailand. Don't be mistaken...all models featuring the Milwaukee-Eight are produced in Thailand for the small domestic market but mostly for international export to markets outside of North America. I was at a HD dealer showroom in Bangkok last week. Virtually every 2024 model on display. All clearly marked ... FACTORY: HDMC (THAILAND) Ltd.

I recently took the MSF Course through my local Harley Dealership and they used the X350 for it. HATED it. I am 5'8" and 176 Lbs, but this bike made my lower torso feel scrunched up while my arms were stretched beyond being comfortable enough for me to finish the course. When I got my feet on the pegs, my knees wanted to swing out, throwing my balance off. Dropped the class and decided to buy a cruiser I felt comfortable on, spend some time practicing and will retake the course on my bike, not theirs.

A club brother runs an independent HD workshop. He had a new HD ( twin cam)on the ramp and we wondered what the hell was he doing with something like that as he's normally working on Evos, Pans and Knuckles. ( Has a Catalina PBY engine there too but that's a different story.. we're trying to figure out if /how we can build a chop around it😂) PDI from the main dealer? Well the engine mounting bolts had been tightened but he basically told the owner he wouldn't let him ride out of the workshop it was in such a dangerous state. Its not just metric/Chinese bikes that can have ...'issues'.
