I had such high hope for these books as well. "The covers" I read first one and gave a 3, was able to skim over the spicy parts. Started book 2 and dnf'd it. Just couldn't do it.

The covers on these books give 5/5 stars and the books are all like, 2.5/3 for me 😅

I’ve only read book 1 so far, I enjoyed it but I don’t think it’s worth the hype. It’s like it tried to do too much…romance, cozy mystery, fall vibes… just didn’t hit for me the way I hoped it would.

I think you are way over thinking these books. They are just cozy reads and I dont think they were meant to have great depth. They are fun reads 😊

This was one of the most poorly written bks. I have ever read. No redeeming literary anything. That is probably why the different names for places. You failed to mention the EXPLICIT SEX. Even that was out of character for the male who initiated. I have heard many reviews of these 3 bks. They basically agree very poor writing, the attraction is the described explicit sex; which is sad gets more with each book. I only read the first one and trashed it. Too many good and well written bks. to waste time on boring smut. I bought it originally for the cover. Just a waste of money. There are LOTS of cozy mysteries w/ depth.
