Back when I did karting 20 years ago out here in So Cal (Jim Hall Racing), everybody wore a neck brace. Nobody went without one. I'm assuming that's still the way it is. I looked into it and it seems the Valhalla 360 is popular and highly regarded. The foam donut style braces like we used to use are apparently not used any more or at least are not as much. I don't see anyone wearing a neck brace in any of these videos. 🤔 Thanks for this channel. I'm glad I found it. I would like to buy a used kart on the cheap just for fun. I'm surprised this Rotax kart was only $600!

It’s a higher skill level. Pushing the kart in front with your foot was the norm. The throttle would go as far as the front bumper so your foot would feel the bumper in front of you. Didn’t crash much at all as there was more respect.

The problem with all modern motorsport is that there is too much grip.

100 % I start racing in late 80's. you feel and see the tarmac very near. Ir was more exicting. And after all, the danger was not soo much more. We get use to drive on inches away from the yires of the others. 😀

Hi, I have a 93 Wright kart with a Parilla TT27 reed 100cc till it’s on butterfly carb, full bodywork, what class can I run this in and what class was it back in the day? I believe it’s CIK homologated but not 100%.. looking for fun and to race but not too competitively , any info appreciated.

It’s much more cost effective that inline or parallel twins and has the advantage of brilliant weight distribution to!
