I love the way Karl is often not far off a decent philosophical argument- this is close to the classic “mind-body problem” of Cartesian dualism that philosophers have been pondering for years. I think the thing karl is having trouble articulating is that we are not necessarily a brain but we are a conciseness that is predominantly operating in a small area of the brain, the rest of the brain is responsible for controlling our body and supplying information to the conscious mind. Low carbs can manifest itself as THIRST and so on. So you arent in control, but its the subconsious that is in control in tandem of your bodily needs.
