Bird is decidedly the GOAD overall - which way too few people actually understand why.

The most underappreciated parts of Bird's game were his ability to make everyone around him better (case in point, Boston went from 29 to 61 win his rookie year), and specifically his passing (at least as good as Magic's if not better).

Hypothesizing that, "Larry fired back," is just silly. It wasn't heated in any way and don't even see that Larry responded - certainly not in any big way.
