However, after the spread of Islam and its arrival in non-Arabic-speaking countries, dots were added to make it easier for non-Arabs to read Arabic texts. I can read without dots above or below the letters, but anyone who learns Arabic as a second language cannot do so.

Its not accurate about "брать/взять" and "говорить/сказать". Especially with seconde one. When you say "я брал что-то у кого-то" it doesnt mean that i not completed something. It means that i returned thing that i took. When i say "Я взял что-то у кого-то" it means that i still have the thing, or i completed all that i wanted to do with the thing. As you can see, its quite complicated. When i say "ишёл" and "пришёл", there are no such complications. (I know that my english sucks, i do not care)
