How many languages did you guess correctly?

I got almost all of them. watched the original video right before yours. on tagalog i had a 2nd guess after thinking it was indonesian first and on hmong i had no clue at all. That was clutch. For sure i would have had less success without laoshu's content. Herausragende Leistung Cole. хорош.

For some reason I thought Thai was Indonesian. For Tagalog it was instant when I heard the Spanish, but it could easily have been one of the many many dialects of Tagalog. Hmong I only knew because of Laoshu, RIP.

Got all of them right. I was just confused on that last one. I thought Hmong/Khmer

Hmong was the only 1 I got wrong. 😖 I do notbknow the sounds or many words from that language. Mandarin 🇨🇳, Cantonese 🇭🇰, Korean 🇰🇷 and Japanese 🇯🇵 were easy: I live in San Francisco, and I traveled to Asia 🌏. Tagalog was at an instant: Spanish 🇪🇸 words, and I traveled to The Philippines 🇵🇭 in 2022.

The only reason I know what Hmong sounds like is because of Laoshu, rest in peace 🐁

I think I like asia too much. I miss most of the languages in these videos, even when watching the people... for this one, I did not look at the screen and I got them all but Cantonese and the Hmong. I heard quite a lot of Cantonese before, I didn't think it was at all! Does she have a regional accent or something? For the Hmong lady I had guessed Khmer, thinking to myself it sounds like Vietnamese or Thai, but not quite. When you said Hmong I thought it was a brilliant guess! You were right!

I found this easy: I traveled to and from Asia 🌏, mostly The Philippines 🇵🇭 for 25+ years. 5:08. Madali lang! Tagalog.

I love these kinds of videos! Check out the channel World Friends for more reaction videos! They did a lot of similar things to Cut, but also "guess the American" and other fun things :)

honestly that's nothing to feel ignorant about. i see a lot of asian cultures in a lot of places. there's just so many languages, it's hardly possible to keep track of even a select few. if anything (as a german) i feel more ignorant about africa if anything.

@@ColeLangs Keyword: guessed. Thanks to you, Laoshu, Xiaoma, and others. Tagalog is easy if the greeting is included. Korean is spoken a lot in Lucy-- one of my favorite movies. Japanese is unique and widespread (Domo arigato; doi tashimaste). Hmong was a complete guess because Mandarin and Cantonese were represented extensively by said hosts, and were already used in the video, so it was either that or Khmer, but I figured Hmong was more likely. Like I said-- complete guess. I've heard Thai before, and should have gotten it. Vietnamese is so different with cadence, inflection, and choppy tone-- it would have been easy to identify. I've studied (but cannot speak): all but Hmong of those mentioned; French; German; Italian; Brazilian Portuguese; Haitian Creole; Russian; Greek; Latin; Arabic; and Spanish, extensively (can read and somewhat speak). I had a disc called "51 Languages of the World"; some were a quick "No" like Polish, Irish, and Gaelic. It helps to study world geography as well: countries, capitals, and therefore languages. I admire those with the patience and discipline to learn and memorize words, characters, syntax, grammar, and entire cultures.
