The Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.3 is probably the best STM for the C100. I don’t know what lens you’re using but you said 4.5 which sounds like the 10-18mm. The facial locks seems to lock into the eyes. I’ve never had this much trouble with my autofocus facial lock. My STM lenses - EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM *
