I play guitar. I have multiple guitars. I am waiting my guitar to tune itself. If the universe didn’t need someone to tune it, one of my multiple guitars will surely do it by itself. All we’ve got to do is give the guitar enough time.

It's kinda jarring to hear someone who's supposed to be really smart say something so dumb. The only way he can change the risk is never take his phone out unless he's standing in a soft room. Soldiers don't twirl their weapons in combat they keep them at ready or in a holster or on a sling or in a case & they're trained not to drop them & keep track of them but small arms repairmen can attest to their carelessness. The fact my phone is made of slippery brittle glass means I can't trust my hands to always have a spiderman grip on the thing and stuff bumps into my hand all the time knocking my phone with case out all the time. I don't exist in a void with my phone, shit happens & I don't have millions of dollars to just buy a new one like it's a consumable product.

We think, wrongly, that the universe is fine tuned for human life. It is just an accident of course. We evolved to fit the way the universe actually is, so of course it is going to fit us. Our egos take over and we play a little game where we are the important centers of all we survey. No tuning of the universe is required, however, because we are fine tuned by natural selection to fit IT.

Damn, I don’t like a case on my phone either but this is dumb. Not everyone spins weapons in the military because that is not part of learning not to drop you weapon. Only a select few do it and the entire reason is for show. There is no practical reason it just looks cool.

Even if there's a fine tuning universe, they still have to show evidence for their god. That's something that theists can't understand.

I actually think it's an elegant cop out, and I am going to lie and pretend that I think it's probably true, since I hate the very idea of God.

Now, I'm not a cosmologist, but this is a classic example of an "intelligent" person overestimating his knowledge; he managed to say absolutely nothing in this entire video. He didn't disprove finetuning by any means; for instance, I don't understand the engineering behind a car, but as an observer, I can still see it's finely tuned. Bias can take "intelligent" people and turn them into rhetorical mouthpieces. His multiverse hypothesis also requires fine-tuning because the mechanism behind its precise application must heed more complicated yet consistent results.

GUYS! GUYS! Study! The theoretical physicists already have the most scientific answers on this. Read your Michio Kaku, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson children. Scientists also have calculations based on the Fermi Paradox, as to how many other plants with goldilocks conditions should have evolved, sentient life. The real quests revolve around mass extinction events; as to which of these other planets intelligent life survive their dinosaurs, or meteors, ice ages, wars etc.

had the exact same thing in my highschool years. we had multiple geology exams where we had to memorize dozens of minerals including all their properties and what role they play in geology. truly ridiculous what nonsense we have to memorize that we have no clue about a few years later and yet you have to memorize everything perfectly unless you want to fail the class

Muito simples. A matemática ajuda a fortalecer as habilidades de raciocínio e o pensamento crítico.

Either the universe is fine tuned intentionally, or it's just extremely lucky that we exist. Dawkins is too smart to believe in luck, so he has glommed onto the multiverse theory which is vanishingly close to having no evidence at all; it's just speculation. It has far less evidence going for it than God does. The faith of atheists is funny.

Has anybody watched documentaries of lives inside the ocean? Do you how many species are in the ocean? Creatures that they look like if they were taken out from other planets? What I'm trying to say is that even he is right about the ingredients that life is made of on earth, the ingredients that infinite universe has may be even endless for creating life anywhere else. That ego he is talking about is the same they can't use to admit that the infinite universe has infinite ingredients we don't, and we may never will, know to create life. The universe itself knows when, how, and where to create life. Nobody on earth can't tell the universe where, when and how to do it. Man we have to wake up about this subject
