Watching this I'm reminded of how disappointing the race scenes in The Boys in the Boat were. This gets my heart pumping, the olympic race in the movie just didn't. It was too short.

Decided last night to quickly re-edit my boat’s 2019 race - which was day 292 of the daily vlog. Looking back there’s a few cool things about this video to me: 1) I still have all the original files from the vlogs and has no issue editing them 2) I’ve gotten much faster at editing since the first time I posted this 3) final cut pro has basically stayed the same bar a few features though 4) Rowan is still a beast of a cox 5) 5 years exactly between my 2024 race and this race

Have you ever considered moving your foot stretchers back a bit to allow more room at the finish thereby allowing you to push down?

You are sculling better than in the past. You are catching with straight arms and not going deep - very good. You appeared however to lose some energy after about halfway down the course.

The race goes against the stream! I've found my 7:45am morning race the past 3 years to be pretty consistent conditions overall.

I wish they had programs available in the inner city for Rowing, Sailing, Fencing, Rugby, Lacrosse, and other sports like this... most of these people grew up doing this, or had access when they were teens... I didn't know this was a thing til after I graduated college 💯 I just think it would've been cool to have had the exposure as a teen.
