Gonna be real, watching and dreaming was a GREAT ending. Plus, I think that the last half of season 2/last quarter and all of season 3 were the best episodes of anything I’ve ever seen in media (btw all the endings were good, though the owl house takes the cake to me)

I will push back on the Hunter criticism because in Thanks to Them he says "I'd like to leave the emperor's coven and never step foot in that throne room again." And he doesn't :) Not everyone needs a final confrontation with their abuser, imo. Speaking from personal experience as well. Anyways these shows rock

I think its fair to mention that catra and adora did start as friends in the first few episodes, but catra gave up on adora, I just started so idk if he mentions this edit: yes catra is sadistic because she has an INSANE amount of trauma, and adora was kind of like her guiding light and so when adora leaves she goes into this defence mode where she attacks anyone. furthermore there is a lot that shows why she is loyal to the horde, but the point isn't that she is for the horde, she's against the princesses, disloyalty in the form of deserting and again, she is a very damaged character, in her eyes the familiar things are good and unfamiliar is always bad and scary

Bro bendy is anoying outside of when he speaks in batdr. batim had much better scare factor for bendy, he ain't scary at all.

I think both games unutilised the villians. You basically shreaded william and vanny. But it was as if they were going to make Audrey actually trust and work with the ink demon but then suddendly The really creepy Wilson shows up and you are just totally okay that HE KILLED YOU. The best part horror media at all that I have ever witnessed and that exist must be in batdr (the gameplay, prolouge, before the ink world. It would be fun to show another side of the ink demon. Something I really liked in batim is how he is this soul less, evil in nature, non reasoning, demon that has no mercy or second toughts. NO toughts just pure evil in a nutshell.
@ArvoyanceАй бұрын
The thing is that batdr came out as a "bendy" buggy game. It has allot of gamebreaking bugs and many aspects of it are horriable for someone that plays hardmode, wanna get all collectiables and wanna get all achivements. But they never fixed any of that. Many loading stuff are wonkers (especially the train) and the combat is horrible. Fnaf sb was MUCH MUCH MUCH worse (with lag and buggynes) and still suprisingly playable for someone with a 1050 gtx. The thing is that steelwool eventually fixed sb and made it much better. If we would not have so high hopes (because of steelwools horrible, but still fantastic, marketing) and we would get the game in the state it is now it woukld be really good. The Meatly really needs to fix all the bugs in batim and batdr.

I mean, being the scariest part is not exactly difficult with the standards the rest of the game sets... but yes, that part and the moments in the security offices where we get something similar to the original fnaf games actually felt like what the game should have been.

I also agree that the core was really wasted potential, the idea of amphibia’s most brilliant minds joined in a single entity sounds awesome and there’s a lot you can do with that , however there was nothing special about the core and they ended up being just a generic bad guy
@Crow-l4yАй бұрын
I think Bipper is the best possession, because we actually get to see dipper as well, and if you have the journey the there’s a note stating that if he’d won he would make dipper jump off the water tower, then KNOWING THAT MABEL WOULD SEE THE NOTE he added care to join him shooting star? Plus, the universe we watch gravity falls in is the one happiest ending… bill is… a demonic dorito

@Dustsans102Ай бұрын
Ok, I know this is far fetched, but I feel like the Core isn't dead. I mean, not only was it in the Book of Bill in the same place Bill went to when HE was supposed to die, but the Core is basically a computer, and what do computer files tend to have? Backups. So it's possible that maybe there was a backup Core with less minds and a weaker state for if the main one got destroyed. The backup Core would have a more obvious personality due to the smaller amount of beings in it, and it would probably get more screen time than the original since Andrias isn't an antagonist anymore.

the Gravity falls ending will never fail to be amazing to me i love stan's character arc and writing and the way that is focused on rather than the twins' development, because that got it's moment in the previous three episodes. they needed to address the older pines twins relationship and they did that in an amazing way, and it also showed dipper and mabel were ready to leave, they'd healed and were closer than ever and that is what made it possible for the finale to happen in the first place, and what made it okay that they were leaving in the end.

I think Catra's "redemption arc", doesn't work quite as well as some of the others is that I don't think that was ever the focus of her arc. It was a healing arc at its core, that also serves as a redemption arc. To be clear I love Catra, and her arc, despite its flaws. She was an abused child who grew up knowing that she only had value because of Adora, that's why she keeps going back to the Horde every time, she needs to prove to Shadow Weaver, as well as herself that that isn't true. If she flees with Adora, she proves that she is truly worthless without her, at least that's what she's had drilled into her. I don't think she enjoyed her time in the Horde by any stretch of the imagination, she has several mental breaks, and only wants power, because its demonstrated to her since childhood that people with power don't hurt like she does, they can do the hurting, it's why she wanted Shadow Weaver's position so bad, and why she gets worse when she's still hurting when she stains it. Another reason is that abuse victims with trauma don't always make rational objective decisions, they fall back on the familiar, because that's what got them this far. Her arc is about breaking out of the abusive relationship she has with Shadow Weaver, as well as starting to heal from all of those mental wounds, which she does, albeit slowly, like real life, her trauma doesn't just go away. I realize this is long enough, but I did want to touch on the romance. Both Catra and Adora have been raised with conditional love, and both feel that they are unlovable. With Catra, she sees herself as the worthless, the problem. With Adora, she doesn't see people as loving her, but what she can do, which is why Gimmer using her, hurts her so much, its confirmation. Only when they confront the other's problem, do they reciprocate the other's feelings. I do agree that the way others react to her softens the blow that this otherwise well built arc though
@nicholasmocalis589Ай бұрын
You could still tell that story without Catra putting innocent lives in danger, being satisfied for doing it and not doing anything substantial to fix her mistakes. This is what I mean when me and anti catradora fans say that these fans are selfish is because wanting one character to get what she wants at the expense of others is the problem especially when talking about the subject of war. The show does things that it doesn't have to do and acts like it is intelligent or moral for excusing those things when it's not.

I agree with you about Hunter and Belos not having more screen time for these moments, but we have to remember that the show was rushed because Disney is an asshole. There were supposed to be more adventures and stuff and I personally felt like the end of the series looked rushed, and I’m willing to bet there would’ve been more Hunter and Belos conflicted had Disney not made the show meet a short end.

It's important to note that the owl house comes form a perspective of grounding fantasy. In the beginning of the show, Luz is engrossed in a fantasy at the expense of the world around her and it's fairly clear that she needs to adjust her sense of reality. Then she gets transported to a magical other world but rather than affirm her escapist tendencies, it serves to ground her. The boiling isles continued to subvert expectations and, most importantly, apply real consequences to events. It showed Luz that even a magical world requires one to be aware of the reality of their situation. Luz needed to learn to be in the present moment, to appreciate the world around her and to be responsible for her actions. Anne came to amphibia with different lessons to learn. Anne was impressionable, lazy, and directionless. What anne learned was to rely on herself, to self check and reprioritize what her values, morals, and goals were. Anne learned to find validation by living up to her own standards. Anne also needed to learn that she could not drift purposelessly through life, she had to find what gave her life meaning and prioritize it. Anne had to learn sense of self, direction, and responsibility to commitment. In the end the worlds they traveled to, served to teach them very different lessons and helped them to adjust.
