Woah, this brought back so many memories! When I moved out from my parents house in 2008 to another city 300 kilometers away, I actually used my N95 as navigation system in the car. The first night I spent in my new flat, I actually watched "No Country for Old Men" on my N95, as I didn't have a TV back then. It was such a great phone and I still have all the photos and videos I made with it back in the day.

Not sure about n95, but on n81 i found the best fps(duke3d) experience with the keyboard being up top and the screen on the bottom.

The 'i' was once used by companies to show a relatively minor update to an existing model, but eventually was just used to signify international, showing what bands were supported. The manuals and other literature omitted the 'i' as they were intended for all variants/SKUs.

My mom wasn't a techy person. When she brought home a brand spanking new N95 as her phone i was really surprised. I had only read about it in tech-oriented publications. After a while i became extremely interested in the N82, as it was one of the only phones with a "real" xenon flash. And was small and portable enough to be pocketable. Never got the chance to get one, but i still think it looks great.

I had this phone back at the time. It was a really great phone. I would recommend trying out a K770i if you can get one.

Why there is no "dumb phone" on the market today with modern camera!? I think there is big niche. I want buttons and small form/screen, battery that will last for a week like the good old Nokia, but capable to take decent smart phone-like photos too.

To this day I use this tablet, what a wonderful thing... I don’t know why you don’t like Windows 8.1, I used it until year 2023, then I had to switch to Windows 10, a decision which I later regretted... As a suggestion for another video, try to find the Surface RT. It is the first Windows tablet running Windows 8 RT for ARM. I think it would make a cool video!..
@JanusCycle18 сағат бұрын
Great suggestions, I would love to try a Surface RT. It's not that I don't like Windows 8/8.1, it's that I've never tried them. But this has changed recently. I've installed Windows 8 on something unusual. It's a really interesting experience and I think it would make a good video.

Amazing video and its crazy how small HDD became. In 2 years you can make a video about PC fans. Maybe in 10 years we don't have any PC fans anymore.

The K750 saved my life when on a trip to Rome my main camera (Canon) was stolen. I took all the photos I badly needed with my Sony phone and even 16 years later they are still usable and I certainly have very fond memories of this "dumb" phone.

It’s a shame hat Nokia maps went (bought by Microsoft I believe) it had lots of detail and felt superior, to me, to Google Maps at the time.

My Mom and later on I used to have a few Sony Ericsson Phone, K700, K800, W888, W910 and the Satio. These phones were kind of special to the ones you saw most other people had, which were either something from Nokia or from Siemens, usually a little older and basic. I personally still love the haptics of the W888 and W910. The W888 was so thin, you wouldn't even notice it in your pocket while still feeling oddly sturdy, however the dial buttons were something you only used if necessary and not really for any games. The W910 was just the perfect thickness when slid closed and a nice size when open for calls, though the sliding mechanism killed a connection ribbon for me, which was quite unfortunate.

Oh my, what a blast from the past. I have one of these, I'm not sure which model, or where it is, but now I want to hunt for it. I spent a ton of time in Japan from 2001 to 2011 and bought SO much stuff there. This was such a cool tool for the time, I know I didn't use it anywhere near its full potential.

Got one of those, still fond memories of this "brick". Remembering even checking stock prices in real time on the street in the built in browser during the crash of 2008 ... I also love your Sony Vaio model with "Crusoe" processor. That was something I dreamt of getting my hands on at that time but was too expensive for me.

I will never forget the Nokia N95, for 2 reasons.. 1. I wanted it immediately on launch.. I got it on contract, Even though i was only a college student with extremely limited income.... 2. My mother used to work at a Nokia factory, As night staff... And one night she was working, there was a robbery, and she was held at gun point....
