This is a reason I call gen z gen zombie because I as a millennial always look at these zoomers at work and even work with some and they just seem lifeless and wondering around like zombies And like you said of millennials seeming a little bit more balanced I agree as I've seen technology evolve but as millennials we have same issues just not as bad because dont forget like the Kardashians being early millennials and kourtney being a gen x millennial cusp having similarities to them

Hi, this video was extremelly helpful and I wrote some notes down here: Life is always going to be like: Accept that life will be hard and you will fail sometimes. (1) Find one habit or two habit. (know u can do, for everyday) (be ultra consistent) (consistently is a skill, that you need to work on for entire life) (2) Learn about other habits (dopamine detox and stuff) Willpower is incredibility important. Build those systems from atomic habits, by going through period of willpower and transition. Important: Free time does not mean waste time. Don't enjoy, just used to it. Look around to see what options are. And compare option a and option b. Be conscious about it (WILLLPOWER). Make sure willpower. Keep using your willpower. Practice and practice. Create schedule for right things. Make the decisions/commitments Understand why you should do work (find specific answers to why you do the better option) --> For example: Be a better person --> Find more purpose. --> Value what you do. --> something horrible happens (with conscious awareness, willpower, know who you want to be, that it will be constant process) will reduce the rut probabilities --> Optimize your consistency and maximize it = more choice for life --> Choose. Be intentional. --> It never ends!

When you fall off the horse what are you going to do next? The horse has a mind of its own so don't beat yourself up for having fallen off. If the horse bucks you off you keep getting on until its expectations, habits, and behavior conforms to your persistence.

@gabrielgonzalez1341
@gabrielgonzalez1341 4 ай бұрын
If it's something you've tried at least more than ten times, there's usually two reasons. The way you see yourself is the same as what that habit has made you think of yourself. If you truly believe your destined to be X, you will keep falling back to it. You have to constantly tell yourself you are someone who doesn't doesn't do it anymore, and never give in to the negative thoughts you get. Second thing could be that that habit is just really ingrained. You need to find something else to replace it that makes you healthier and better. Be more mindful and reject that habit if you find yourself tempted.

I replaced it with working in general, like on college work or youtube. You'll have to find out what that is for you depending on your situation, for now you could use that time to spend researching what you want to do as work. You can also get a new hobby as well or habits like reading. It's definitely a transition to convert that binge time to working instead but it is much better for you in the long run ( the work also needs to be enjoyable to some extent .)

I have the inverse problem for about 2 years now- I have no time to watch anything because I'm too busy. That's the second cheatcode fellas. Get busy- SUPER BUSY!!! Get BUSY AF!!! All I do is work from morning till night. Job(s) from 7:30-630/7, then gym, then time with spouse when home, then sleep. Thankfully, other than KZbin and twitter, I deleted all my social media over 11 yrs ago so I lucked out. I was also born in the era of dial up so I remember a time before the internet. My boy here is right. Only watch beneficial content that will improve your life. The only time I look at games / social media / content are: -Morning mediation video on YT -Catch up on news as well as skill improvement while at the gym. Also maybe a documentary in the background when cooking, cleaning or driving. -Harvesting and redeploying resources on my 1 mobile game (5-10m) right before bed. Then some Alan Watts playing in the background for sleep. I have literally no time or energy to stare at a screen as much as I used to when I wasn't as busy. I also cannot listen to podcasts or YT as I work because my job demands full use of my brain, and I learned a long time ago that multitasking is a croc of ish (to be fair, women are better at it than men are). Another tip- something my dad told me as a kid that I didn't embody until my 30s (mind you there was no internet then but the advice is still applicable): "Every second you spend watching TV, the person you're watching is getting richer while you remain poor. Use your time wisely." Busy people have no time for content, for useless friends, useless hobbies, fapping, being depressed, etc. I am not a JP disciple but he does have some good points- one of them being (to paraphrase): Find the heaviest load you can carry and just do it. I'm not perfect- I still binge on occasion but now I feel really disgusting after I do so. Before, it was the norm. Good luck on your respective detox journeys guys!

Buddhist here. I try to meditate every day for at least two hours, and some days I'll devote the entire day to it, divided into periods of sitting and walking. Sometimes, taking it a step further and going on silent retreat where we practice from anywhere between 6-10 hours a day for 10 days. Part two of this video 'the sensation' is what's called samadhi. Yogis have known about this for thousands of years. There are levels of it. If you keep practicing and incrementally add, say 10 or 15 minutes to each session and can get the duration up into the multiple hours, your sense of having a body will disappear and your consciousness will expand like a balloon until it fills the entire universe. That's not even the highest level, either. You're intuitively describing satipatthana. Read this sutta for the Buddha's full instructions. He was perhaps the most skilled meditator that ever lived and his advice is invaluable: www.dhammatalks.org/suttas/MN/MN10.html You'll also want to read this one because it deals with the samadhi aspect more fully: www.dhammatalks.org/suttas/MN/MN111.html Also, check out a book called 'Right Concentration' by Leigh Brasington. He teaches you how to get into the gradations of samadhi (8 of them in all), and his book has radically transformed my practice.

After quitting nicotine how long does it take for dopamine to get to low levels and how long does it take to increase back to normal ?

If you're younger, hear this. I'm 27 and a smoker since i was 12. The success rate per attempt to quit cold turkey is 5%, so 20 attempts should be enough. If you want to quit, don't test your limits. No one cigarette, smoking only when drinking, or any of that. Replace smoking with something you can quit easily, like gum, very low nicotine content replacements or something like that. Do sports, sports are the most valuable asset here. I quit once when i was 15, and started again, it was easy then, now it's incredibly difficult because some parts of my life are structured around smoking. The sooner the better, good luck.

Don't even think about dopamine, the urge can come back after years. You need to try and try again until you succeed and hold onto it like your life depends on it, because it does. Lung cancer and other lung problems are real and i'm already experiencing many of them. Sports all the way.

@ericcricket4877 I started at 11 now at 17 I've decided to quit I attempted to quit about 10 times before most of the attempts were failed at day 3 apart from my last attempt where I lasted 1 week. Its much harder when you're at school and literally 70% of all students are either vaping or smoking.

Man, your video about nofap inspire me to not let that addiction ruin my life. I'm on the way recovery, I fap after 11 days. Although it's a failure I think it's better than "4 times/week" before. Now my 5 days streak and when I look at sexy girl, I'm not too sensitive and not easily erect as before, it's a much difference! Thanks for the helpful videos. You affected me much more than tons of big channel out there or any Tedx talks. I think that most important thing that I follow your advice is you walk the talk, you say what you did. Plus, you practice meditation, I tend to appreciate man who meditate! Wish you have a great new year!

I have been meditating every day for more than 33 years. It is a meditation in a thoughtless state. I learned the technique after getting my Self Realization through Sahaja Yoga sessions. It is something very simple, free of charge. It is a joy bringing practice. Words cannot describe the blissful states that one gets during the meditation. Sometimes it is hard to be the witness of the flowing thoughts, but we learn to be the pure attention and not the sadness. In this new year of 2024 I wish that most of those who read this comment will have the curiosity to find Sahaja Yoga. It is practiced worldwide for the pure benefit of the seekers of Truth.

Grand Rising Collective, you can meditate while walking on a trail or cooking your fav. meal, sitting in a lotus position with your eyes closed isn't the only way to meditate, in my experience it is more advanced form of meditation because it requires discipline, and let face it it is easier said than done :D the idea is to quite the monkey brain aka mind enough to be conscious of the present moment, being aware of your breathing has helped me with this Happy Discovery of Self Wish you all the Best! 💚👽💚
